The Experience

Set off on an active hike through the primary forest of Cedral Valley, bordering Chirripó National Park. Venture along wooded paths, surrounded by tall trees and along the ridge with views of the mountains and into the quaint town of Cedral. Your walk culminates at a beautiful open garden, with every flower and fruit intentionally planted to attract specific species of birds, butterflies and mammals. Here you will have the opportunity to spot avian species from hawks and turkey vultures enjoying the thermals overhead to colorful tanagers and hummingbirds seeking the sweet nectar of the garden’s flowers.

  • This is a moderate hike, lasting approximately one-and-a-half to two hours
  • Guests drive into the Cedral Valley before beginning the adventure on foot
