Fabric Dyeing

Venture to the cozy Broadfork Barn for an experiential art class that uses natural dyes derived from pigment-rich flowers and seeds. Learn to hand-dye a silk scarf using old world pressing and steaming techniques that extract the plant-based dyes for optimal color saturation. While you wait for your scarf to cure, learn about the regenerative farming techniques that our talented team of female FarmHers use at Gracie’s Farm year-round. When your bespoke work of art is complete, take home a unique and colorful memento of your time spent at Blue Sky.

Fresh & Dried Herbal Tea Making

Sip a fresh herbal tea while learning the history and technique of tea making in the warmth of our Broadfork Barn. You’ll get to concoct your own custom tea blend to sip on and take home. The farm offers both fresh and dried herbs all year, and the winter is a great time to create a tea blend made specifically for you.
