Local fine art curator Bobby Beals presents exclusive art-centric experiences in Horseshoe Gallery at Bishop’s Lodge, showcasing artists via fine art shows, live demonstrations, culinary experiences, and curated special events throughout the year. Artists include Micqaela Jones, Jedidiah Emanuel, Reina Dos, Gino Miles, Tracy Hollister and Frank Gonzales.

Friday, May 24 | Alexandra Eldridge’s “Within” Exhibit & Reception

Alexandra Eldridge's artistry thrives in a realm where contradictions coexist and reason is abandoned. Her quest is to reveal the inherent radiance within all things, using painting as a parallel to the movement of the psyche. Each artwork reflects her rich soul experiences, seeking to connect with the observer on a profound level. Renowned for blending mixed media, the "Within" exhibition showcases Eldridge's exploration of textures, adding depth to her evocative pieces. Immerse yourself in her creative world, where each painting is a narrative of inner life, beautifully expressed through every brushstroke. Complementing the exhibit will be drinks by Santa Fe handcrafted spirit company As Above, So Below.

Friday, June 21 | Reina Dos’s “This” Exhibit & Reception

Through Reina Dos's thought-provoking assemblages and the curated ambiance, attendees are invited to ponder the possibilities and decisions that shape their individual journeys. Bobby Beals envisions an evening that goes beyond the confines of traditional art exhibitions, fostering an environment where visual art serves as a catalyst for a deeper connection with the vitality of life. As the sun sets on this artistic celebration, the event will transition into a Summer Solstice gathering starting at 7PM, encouraging attendees to fully immerse themselves in the transformative power of "This."

Friday, August 16 | Micqaela Jones’s “Unity” Exhibit

Micqaela Jones, a renowned artist celebrated for her captivating depictions of her childhood experiences on the Shoshone Reservation, will explore themes of unity in her annual show at the prestigious Santa Fe Indian Market. Following the show, Jones will present her exclusive pieces from the show in a separate exhibit at Horseshoe Gallery. Each artwork serves as a chapter in the narrative of unity, encouraging attendees to explore the profound connections that art fosters among diverse communities. Friday, September 20 | Tracy Hollister’s “Horizon” Exhibit & Reception

Santa Fean sculptor Tracy Hollister invites attendees on a captivating journey through her art, reflecting the diverse landscapes and interests that inspire her. Influenced by New Mexico's elemental beauty and the vibrant energy of towns like Santa Fe, Taos, and Abiquiu, Hollister's work harmoniously blends earthy hues, dynamic shapes and contrasting textures, including high gloss finishes. With creations that balance masculine and feminine elements, Hollister draws from a range of influences, from traditional Japanese ceramic techniques to wild-sourced materials, allowing her artistry to flow naturally. "Horizon" presents attendees with an opportunity to experience her sculptures, embodying the essence of our natural earth. Bobby Beals describes the work as "a solid homage to the earth while simultaneously a dream to the sky."

Friday, October 4 | Frank Gonzales’s “Source”

Renowned contemporary artist Frank Gonzales unveils his latest collection, "Source," in a solo exhibition, showcasing his mesmerizing wildlife and nature-inspired art. With a distinctive style blending realism and abstraction, Gonzales captivates audiences with intricate compositions and vibrant palettes, drawing inspiration from the interconnectedness of wildlife and their environments. Each piece reflects Gonzales's profound connection to nature and his commitment to preserving its beauty.

Plein Air Painters of New Mexico

Plein Air Painters of New Mexico (PAPNM) is a professional association of artists and sponsors dedicated to preserving and promoting painting "en plein air" – in the open air or outdoors every weekend beginning in the Spring.

  • Starting in early May, Bobby Beals Presents… a true plein air experience featuring esteemed artists capturing the landscape of Bishop’s Lodge on a weekly basis

  • The painters will independently set up their easels across the property to depict the essence of various landmarks such as the Lamy Chapel, the Trout Stream, the Bunkhouse, the classic weathered truck, the chamisa and juniper, and of course, the breathtaking sunsets. Guests are encouraged to approach each artist and “step into their office” to view their work up close.

About Bobby Beals

Bobby Beals is an entrepreneur who started his own artist consulting agency in his early 20s that developed into owning and operating a fine art gallery and curating business. Beals made his impression in Santa Fe on historic Canyon Road with his fine art gallery, Beals & Co. Showroom, and has participated in numerous art shows including Art Dubai, Loveland Sculpture Show and Jackson Hole Fine Art Fair. Among his passion projects, he curates and co-owns Kamagraph Skateboard Company and The Friday Paper and ArtistProof.One with expert strategist Gary Dinh.

  • The Santa Fean Magazine has featured Bobby Beals in their annual article, “People We Love”. The Santa Fe Reporter named Beals “Curator of the Year” by popular vote, and he was honored to be featured in Humans of New Mexico.
