From lofty suites and treehouses to mountain homes at one with nature
Consummately private, elegantly appointed, and all with exceptional views, Primland’s varied accommodation options reflect the 12,000-acre estate’s abundance of space. From the upper floors of the Lodge, with its fine-dining restaurant, serene spa and observatory tower, luxurious rooms and suites overlook the golf course and the Blue Ridge Mountains rolling to the horizon. Or choose a suite in one of the free-standing Pinnacle or Fairway Cottages, also ideal for booking in their entirety when traveling with family or friends. Quite possibly the most romantic spaces on the property are the five designer Tree Houses, perched on the lip of the Dan River Gorge. And then there are the rustic Mountain Homes, accommodating from two to 22 guests in the utmost secluded, back-to-nature comfort.

Pinnacle Cottages
Named after the famous Pinnacles of Dan, four gracious, chalet-like cottages each offer accommodation for up to 12 people with birds-eye views of the valley below. Don't let the word ‘cottage’ mislead you, however. While charming, these generously-proportioned, two-story abodes are stylish eyries with serene interiors and space to spare. Each cottage boasts two inviting living areas arranged around open stone fireplaces (one on each level), two large Dan River Suites opening onto expansive private decks, and two Cedar Bluff Rooms with their own private balconies. Book an entire cottage to keep your group together during your stay. Accessible rooms are available.

Located along the golf course with stunning jade and sapphire-hued mountain views, three unique cottages each offer hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings and cozy living areas with Tennessee fieldstone fireplaces. Wooden decks are ideal for alfresco dining, while spacious apartments are offered in east and west wings - catching the light at sunrise and sunset respectively. Each cottage boasts a unique layout, with Sparrow and Woodpecker accommodating four guests and Cardinal up to eight. Book both wings to keep small groups or families together.

Perched in the treetops high above the Dan River Gorge, Primland’s 12,000 thickly wooded acres are home to intimate Tree Houses with sweeping views from Roaring Creek to Pilot Mountain, and down Kibler Valley. Designed in France by renowned treehouse architectural firm La Cabane Perchee – and built of aromatic red cedar – the 440-square-foot Tree Houses with expansive decks feel utterly remote, being at an elevation of 2,700 feet. Guests access the lofty accommodations, which suit up to two adults, by a wooden bridge. Inside, a neutral palette and oversized windows are meant to direct all attention outdoors. A signature Primland experience a short drive from the Lodge, staying in the Tree Houses offers all the freedom of a bird on the wing, and all the cosseting luxury of the most finely feathered nest.
