Off-Site Experiences

From snorkeling past vividly-hued coral reefs just beyond our door to horseback riding through a deep desert canyon, let us guide you through the exhilarating adventures Baja California has to offer.

Adventures on Land

Hike through a UNESCO-protected biosphere

Whether it’s a serene stroll through the historic San José del Cabo Estuary (a favorite with visiting birdwatchers for the endangered Belding’s Yellowthroat), a trek to the gorgeous tiered waterfalls near Santiago or a steep ascent up El Picacho in the UNESCO-protected Sierra de la Laguna mountain range, you’ll get an entirely different view of Baja.

Experience Los Cabos on horseback

Create an everlasting memory and experience the beauty of Los Cabos on horseback, all the while attended by professional guides and experienced horses. Horseback riding is suitable for all ages. Riders can explore the beach or the sandy arroyos, with spectacular views in all directions. A morning horseback riding experience with your whole family or your love is an idyllic way to start your day together.

Adventures on Land

Explore the Baja outback via dune buggy or ATV

Buckle up on your side-by-side Polaris Razor or ATV for an exhilarating ride through dusty desert terrain, deep canyons and wide riverbeds before reaching the beach with miles of pristine sand dunes and spectacular cliffs.

Ride a camel in the Baja outback

Take off deep into the heart of the cactus-lined Baja outback where you’ll meet and get to know your camel. “A camel is a huge, smelly, bizarre, surprisingly intelligent animal—and a lot of fun,” says one enthused rider. OR “This was so much fun that even my moody teenagers couldn’t find any complaints,” says one enthused rider.

Take a private Jeep tour into the Baja outback

Breeze up the spectacular Sea of Cortez coastline in your own 4x4 Jeep Wrangler. This off-road adventure winds past cowboys on horses and lumbering cattle to the quaint town square of Santiago, ringed by colonial buildings, before heading off to Fox Canyon to marvel at its magnificent waterfalls. Cool down with a refreshing dip in the natural crystal clear pools surrounded by granite rock boulders before returning to the Resort.

Adventures on the Sea

Go on a whale-watching photo safari

You’re going whale watching, so pack your camera and binoculars for an exhilarating adventure. The guides are respectful of the whales while still getting close enough that you’ll feel the splash as their tails slap the water and capture vivid action shots. Keep your eyes peeled, and you may even spot dolphins and sea lions.

  • Various boats are available depending on the size of the group

Tour Cabo San Lucas Bay by boat and San José del Cabo on land

We’ll explore Cabo San Lucas Bay’s stunning Land’s End area, getting up close to the iconic Arch, Sea Lion’s Colony, and Lover’s Beach by glass-bottom boat. Back on shore, you’ll visit the Blown Glass Factory, where you’ll marvel at the breathtakingly precise—and risky—art of handblown glass. Then you’ll ride up the 33-km Tourist Corridor, surrounded by stunning views of both the desert and coastline of the Sea of Cortez. At San José del Cabo, you’ll gallery hop and take in a tequila tasting before enjoying a traditional lunch.

Venture on a deep sea fishing trip

Each year there are more striped marlin caught within 20 miles of Cabo San Lucas than any other place in the world. The deep-water canyons at the mouth of Cabo San Lucas harbor and the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez create favorable fishing conditions for a number of other prized catch, including mahi-mahi, swordfish, grouper and wahoo. One recent angler who netted eight yellowfin tuna and a 140-pound striped marlin over two days of fishing said, “It was a dream come true."

  • Vessels range from a 28-ft. standard cruiser to a 120-ft. tri-deck yacht
  • Upon your return, TnT’s chef can use your catch to prepare dishes from fish tacos to sashimi and ceviche
