Culinary Adventures at Mauna Lani
Taste your way through the Island of Hawai’i
Centuries ago, the land area known as Kalāhuipua'a belonged to King Kamehameha the Great. As the sacred fishponds– located adjacent to the Great Lawn– teemed with mullet and milkfish, King Kamehameha frequently feasted on the bounty which Kalāhuipua'a provided. To this day, Mauna Lani honors Hawai’i as our muse by curating indelible and out-of-the-box moments that celebrate our island home. From culinary collaborations with renowned chefs and eateries to specialty events emblematic of Hawaii’s beauty and culture, may we cultivate bespoke and everlasting memories in the sanctuary that is Kalāhuipua'a.

Past Culinary Adventures
Mauna Lani x Broad Street Oyster Company
Malibu's favorite seafood shack cruised all the way from the PCH to Hawai'i Island, lobster rolls and beachy vibes in tow. As Mauna Lani's exclusive partner for the 2022 festive season, Broad Street Oyster Company brought freshly shucked oysters and caviar to the Surf Shack, while also offering private dining experiences in our beachside backyard.
A Taste of Auberge | Nami Nori at Mauna Lani
New York-based Nami Nori – which appropriately translates to "ride the wave" – joined Mauna Lani for a culinary collaboration blending the fresh ingredients of Hawai'i with the dynamic flavors of Japan in February of 2022. From interactive cooking classes in the Francis H. I’i Brown Suite to temaki sets for take-away at The Surf Shack, Mauna Lani and Nami Nori's synergy fostered epicurean curiosity and memories to last a lifetime.
MY Menu One-of-a-Kind Experience with Michelle Bernstein
Melding the timelessness of Matt and Yuka Raso's "MY" Menu with culinary creativity by James Beard award-winner and Miami-based chef, Michelle Bernstein, the "MY" Menu One-of-a-Kind Experience explored cultural influence on cooking. After a panel discussion hosted by Uncle Danny, Chef Bernstein infused the "MY" Menu with the flavors of Latin America, featuring Wagyu steak asada and a tres leches cake complete with lilikoi and Hawaiian mango.
