Culinary Adventures at Mauna Lani

Taste your way through the Island of Hawai’i

Centuries ago, the land area known as Kalāhuipua'a belonged to King Kamehameha the Great. As the sacred fishponds– located adjacent to the Great Lawn– teemed with mullet and milkfish, King Kamehameha frequently feasted on the bounty which Kalāhuipua'a provided. To this day, Mauna Lani honors Hawai’i as our muse by curating indelible and out-of-the-box moments that celebrate our island home. From culinary collaborations with renowned chefs and eateries to specialty events emblematic of Hawaii’s beauty and culture, may we cultivate bespoke and everlasting memories in the sanctuary that is Kalāhuipua'a.

A timeless tradition steeped in history and culture, the luau embodies the simple yet invaluable pleasures of togetherness and celebration. Cultivate priceless memories over a feast of locally-sourced classics– lomi lomi salmon, ahi poke, huli huli style chicken, kiawe broiled steak– as the golden sun casts a warm glow over bountiful tablescapes. Embrace perennial tales of Hawai’i as they are told through the art of hula, a storytelling dance dating back to the 1800s. Join us in the Pavillion on Fridays at 5:30pm to honor the everlasting beauty of Hawai’i.
