Its fishponds once belonged to Kamehameha the Great, the king who united the Hawaiian islands and admired views of all five mountains from this spiritual center. 200 some years later, Francis H. I'i Brown inherited Kalāhuipua‘a, where he often sought respite from his opulent lifestyle. Now, our Living Culture team looks to these icons, telling the stories of Mauna Lani's legendary coastline.
