Introducing Auberge Insiders
At Chileno Bay Resort & Residences, Amanda Kloots found her perfect rhythm: heart-pumping workouts, poolside dance breaks, barefoot dinners, and slow mornings with her six-year-old son and closest friends. Easy to get to, hard to leave—Cabo delivered the kind of escape that blends wellness, joy, and just the right touch of indulgence. Proof that a vacation can recharge adults and delight kids, all at once.

Day 1
Morning | Spend the day by the Pool
Mornings by the family pool are the best! Lounge by the family pool in a comfy cabana. Let the kids have fun in the water while you kick back on your shaded daybed. Bonus: keep an eye out for the floating bartenders serving up watermelon juice and Chilenitos right to you—how cool is that?
Afternoon | Lunch at TnT
Head to TnT, the beachside taco bar. The grilled fish tacos are my absolute favorite, and if you’re vegan, don’t miss the tangy coconut aguachile—deliciously refreshing! TnT also offers a fantastic selection of Mexican spirits if you want to dive deeper into the local flavors. Do not forget to ask the team to introduce you to Caroline, a unique snake infusing a spirit called Sotol, perfect for those wanting to try something new.
Evening | Dinner at YAYA
Finish the day with a casual family dinner at YAYA. The YAYA Mezze is a must-try, brimming with Mediterranean dips and fresh seasonal vegetables. And be sure to leave room for dessert, especially the skillet s’mores, perfect for sharing! If you are here on a weekend, go for a nightcap at the Bar Downstairs, a secret cocktail destination below YAYA.
Day 2
Morning | Morning Workout + Kids Club
Kick off your morning with the best pool views while breaking a sweat at the state-of-the-art Fitness Center and Movement Studio. Whether you’re into strength training or prefer a guided movement class, it’s all here—with ocean breezes and stunning views for extra motivation. Meanwhile, my son Elvis had the best time at Pescadito’s Kids Club, where creativity and play are the name of the game.
Lunch | In Villa Pizza Making Class
A portable wood-fired oven is rolled right to your door, and chefs guide you and your crew through stretching dough, layering toppings, and firing up your perfect pie. My son Elvis couldn’t get enough—and neither could we. It’s playful, personal, and a delicious way to spend the afternoon.
Evening | Dinner at Cocina del Mar
If you’re staying at Chileno Bay, a visit to Esperanza is a must, especially for an unforgettable dinner at Cocina del Mar. The restaurant’s breathtaking sunset views provide the perfect backdrop for a special occasion or just a night out. I highly recommend the seafood fondue with cornbread – a locals favorite. Bonus: The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service between properties for dinner, and if you visit on a Wednesday, you can enjoy a spectacular fireworks show.
Day 3
Morning | Skin Ritual at Sol
I like to find some time for self care on my final day. final day. At Sol, the spa at Chileno Bay, I go for the Skin Ritual facial with Biologique Recherche, designed to rehydrate and restore skin after days of sun and sea. The peaceful spa setting—complete with outdoor treatment rooms and a serene Bath House—lets you fully exhale. It’s the kind of luxurious reset that stays with you long after checkout.
Afternoon | Beach Lunch at H2O
Lunch on the beach doesn’t get easier—or tastier. TnT delivers right to your lounge chair. I go for the shrimp tacos, fresh guac, and something cold to sip on. Perfect.
Evening | Dinner at COMAL
Dinner at COMAL is always a standout experience—elevated, fresh, and full of bold, creative flavors. Start with the Short Rib Doraditas (crispy, tender, rich) and the octopus kastakan, a smoky, spicy delight. The Striped Bass ‘Zarandeado’ is my forever favorite, its fresh fish, served on a big board with a roasted tomato chimichurri, arugula, and shishito pepper salad that brought brightness and balance, the perfect way to close out your stay.
