Recipe: Chilenito

El Chilenito, is the perfect blend of smoky-sweetness and spice. Mezcal, poblano pepper liqueur, and Osvaldo Vasquez’s own rudabitters are brightened by fresh pineapple juice and ginger. El Chilenito is best enjoyed with feet up, kicked back by the beach.

  • 2 oz Mezcal

  • 1 oz Poblano Pepper Liquor (or mash 2-3 slices of green chilies in place of liquor)

  • 1 1/2 oz Pineapple Juice

  • 1/2 Lime Juice

  • 1 oz Simple Syrup

  • 1 dash Ginger Juice

  • 3 drops Rudabitter or Angostura Bitter (Optional)

Method: Combine all ingredients. Add ice. Shake well for 10 seconds and pour into a tumbler glass. Finish with bitter drops. Enjoy!
