- Founded in 1981 by Dennis and Judy Groth, this family-owned winery is rooted in the prestigious Oakville AVA of Napa Valley. With a focus on sustainable farming, they strive to produce elegant, high-quality wines while preserving the estate for future generations.
- Under the leadership of their daughter Suzanne Groth, the winery is flourishing. A long-term vineyard replanting plan ensures the continuity of their critically acclaimed Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and other estate-grown wines. Committed to their Oakville legacy, the Groth family aims to leave a lasting impact for the next generation.
About Suzanne Groth
- The vineyards of Oakville are both home and inspiration to Suzanne Groth, driving her to lead the family winery, Groth Vineyards & Winery, for the next generation. Suzanne grew up in and around the Groth vineyards and winery, working there from a young age before studying art in college. After gaining experience at a fine wine distributor, she returned to the family business in 1998, eventually succeeding her father as president in 2017. Alongside her duties at the winery, she serves on the boards of the Wine Institute and Oakville Winegrowers. Intertwining her love of art, family, and work, Suzanne creates paintings inspired by Groth's vineyards, many of which adorn the winery's walls.
