Day 1

Arrival | Enjoy a stylish surprise

We have curated special goodies for kids of all ages. These hand picked gifts include hand blocked crib sheets for babies, nature-inspired games and a playful toys for entertainment.

3:30pm | Explore our 58 acres as a family

Set off on an exploration of our 58 acres of manicured lawns, gardens, and woodlands as you settle into your time in the countryside!

5:00pm | Try a beloved countryside pastime

Mom and dad are invited to grab a glass of rosé at our croquet court and try their hand at this classic game. We've got a mini set of croquet mallets (and lemonade) in case the kids want to join in on the fun.

6:00pm | Dine on garden delights in the Garden Room

Sit down for dinner with the entire family in our airy Garden Room, where the kiddos are treated to our custom floral Mayflower coloring book and bark colored pencils.

8:00pm | Stargaze & s’mores

After dinner, head to the fire pits for the quintessential countryside treat: s'mores. Chocolate from our local dairy farm and homemade marshmallows present our take on the classic.

Day 2

8:00am | Stretch and flow with Shakespeare Yoga

Gather on the lawn outside our Shakespeare Garden for an invigorating morning stretch and flow for all ages, led by THE WELL.

9:30am | Have breakfast in the Garden Room

Kids will be delighted to see their breakfast pastry - a Mayflower muffin with vanilla butter - come served in a mini terracotta garden pot!

10:30am | Grab some sunshine at the pool

Families are invited to while away the day by the pool, which comes equipped with lawn games like corn hole, badminton and lawn bowling to keep the kids busy.

12:00pm | Find a shady spot for a picnic

What better way to while away the afternoon than with a picnic from the shade of our cherry tree? Our ches have curated a garden-centric menu for adults, as well as a Little Laurels menu that kids will love, with herbal lemonade, yummy Arethusa cheese sandwiches and more.

4:00pm | Hit the mark in archery class

Join our expert archery instructor, Coach Jay, for a competitive afternoon by Blue Heron Pond. Test your skills at this age-old sport; children will be awarded with a little green Mayflower medal.

7:00pm | Treat the family to dinner in the Tap Room

While the family gathers in our tavern space for a hearty, convivial dinner, the host will offer kiddos a surprise amenity: our custom sewing kit made in partnership with Brooklyn-based children's craft shop, Fair Play Projects. The felt magnet kit takes flowers that grow on the Mayflower property and turns them into an easy-to-use kit to create magnets, for a memento they can take home.

Day 3

8:00am | Revel in Kids’ Pool Hour at THE WELL

While mom and dad book treatments at THE WELL, grandma and gramps can watch the grandkids and spend time in our indoor pool during our dedicated kids' pool time.

9:00am | Explore the great outdoors with our Naturalist’s Camp

We've partnered with adventure company, KC&E, to create a jam-packed 5-hours worth of activities for kids. Mom and Dad can drop the kids off at the nearby nature preseve, where they'll dive headfirst into their outdoor adventures: from trail biking and hiking to learning about the local ecology, "leave no trace" practices, and nature crafts. We'll supply them with a small breakfast and a picnic lunch. For the parents, they can spend the half day devoted to pool time, movement classes or treatments at THE WELL.

4:00pm | Kayak beautiful Bantam Lake (or our own Blue Heron Pond!)

Kids can grab our pint-sized kayaks from THE WELL (we have adult-sized ones too!) and take a spin in picturesque Blue Heron pond, or bring the equipment to explore nearby and picturesque Bantam Lake.

7:00pm | Dine al Fresco

Watch the sun set over our Shakespeare Garden at dinner. Kids can catch fireflies while mom and dad dine on our outdoor terrace.

9:00pm | Sit by the harvest moon fire

Take in the countryside beside the warm glow of our nightly bonfire. Enjoy a specialty cocktail and savory nibbles appetizer such as marinated olives or a smashed artichokes tartine curated by our expert culinary team. Gather around the fire after dinner for a sweet, nostalgic s'mores treat and a hot beverage.

Day 4

8:00am | Go forest bathing with THE WELL

Experience this age-old awakening practice in the great outdoors with a guide from THE WELL. Kids can try walking through the forest like a fox, listening like a deer and seeing like an owl. When the mind engages in nature's elements, it invites connection to different aspects of the self; Earth: grounding, Water: creativity, Fire: personal empowerment, Air: self compassion, and Ether: self-expression. Forest Bathing fosters relationship, connection, and the joy of being in the mystery of nature for the whole family.

10:00am | Enjoy breakfast in the Garden Room

11:30am | Hit the courts for a round robin tennis tournament

Head to the court with our pro for a family-friendly round of tennis, whether you'd like to learn to perfect your swing or just have some competitive fun. THE WELL can supply mini rackets for kids and fresh garden juices for the whole fam.

1:00pm | Fuel up with lunch on our Wicker Porch

2:20pm | Explore Ripley Conservancy and meet a hawk

Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy houses over 400 birds, representing 80+ species, from around the world. They are available to view at their 16-acre facility on a private guided tour, led by one of their trained aviculturists. Families can also get up close and personal with their resident hawk, Dusky. Learn about the biology and life history of birds of prey, including conservation action in the United States and observe free-flight demonstrations or have a hawk land directly on your gloved hand!

4:30pm | Play classic board games with Edie Parker

Our custom, hand-poured acrylic tic tac toe, connect four and checkers games were made in partnership with accessories brand Edie Parker. Designed in our Mayflower pink and green palette, these classic games are given a fresh and playful new look that will appeal to players of all ages. We invite the family to gather in the Parlour to play these nostalgic games and enjoy a special menu of adult-friendly cocktails and yummy snacks ahead of dinner.

7:00pm | Grab dinner in the Tap Room

The last dinner calls for celebrations. Kids can stay busy with a surprise gift from our Hickory Stick Book basket. Our local bookshop - a Washington instution - has curated an assortment of summer books on nature and the great outdoors. Before dinner, our team will bring the kiddos over to the Parlour and unveil our wicker apple-shaped basket so they can choose a book to read and keep.

Day 5

8:00am | Trek the mountains on a Naturalist Hike with THE WELL

Join your guide for a brisk morning trek through our nearby forests. At the beautiful Steep Rock Preserve, the whole family can try their hand at spotting mussels along a riverbank or beavers exiting a river canal carrying woody branches in their paws while learning about the local ecology that thrives in summer. Fresh juices and snacks from THE WELL will keep everyone fueled and energized to reach the peak for an unforgettable view.

11:00am | Indulge in brunch in the Garden Room

1:00pm | Explore the American Poet’s Maze

Wander through the labyrinth of our American Poet's maze and take in the views from the highest point on property.

Departure | Chef’s Garden Bouquet

Before departing, head to our Chef's Garden to snip a bundle of flowers and herbs to take home as a keepsake of your countryside escape. Chef's trail mix is the perfect parting snack for the car ride home.
