Day 1: Arrival

Afternoon | Find Your Bearings

Celebrate your homecoming with a much-needed toast (or two) at Hā Bar, our outdoor bar bordered by swimming pools, sacred fishponds and lawns. While your little ones run free on the nearby Great Lawn, share tapas-style appetizers and artful cocktails.

6PM | Dinner at HāLani

An alfresco eatery that opens onto the Great Lawn, HāLani features healthy, globally-inspired fare from breakfast and lunch to dinner. Sample crispy calamari, hearty brick oven pizzas and fresh salads, or order HāLani’s signature “‘Ohana-Style” dinners for the table.

Day 2

6:30AM | Sunrise Canoe Paddle

Gather around the Surf Shack at dawn, scouting ocean conditions before launching your canoe from Mauna Lani’s pristine beach. Put your paddling skills to the test as you traverse this legendary coastline, only pausing to witness the morning’s first rays of light.

10:30AM | Private Helicopter Charter

Acquaint yourself with Hawai’i Island’s iconic valleys, cascading waterfalls and epic stories in a private helicopter charter with “Uncle” Danny Akaka. From ‘ukulele jam sessions to beachfront brunches, this exclusive experience appeases hefty appetites for adventure and curiosity.

5:45PM | Sunset Dinner at CanoeHouse

Enjoy a golden hour dinner at the iconic CanoeHouse, where Japanese-Paniolo inspired dishes such as seared warayaki and Wagyu ribeyes take center stage alongside seasonal vegetables sourced from local farms.

Day 3

8:30AM | Kalama Kai

Much like a beacon, Kalama Kai - meaning “light of the sea” - illuminates soulful voyages with tales of Hawaii’s past. Find the perfect surf break, snorkel amongst spinner dolphins, or marvel at the Kohala Coast’s palm-fringed coastline from the bow of this 42-foot Yellowfin powerboat.

1PM | Lei Making with Living Culture

An eternal symbol of aloha, the lei represents love, friendship and honor. String one of your own using an array of tropical flowers, customizing a priceless keepsake that will follow you throughout your journey on the Kohala Coast.

3PM | Lomi Lomi Massage

After boat excursions, helicopter tours and canoe voyages, take some time for yourself. Melt tension with a Lomi Lomi Massage, an ancient healing treatment passed from one generation to another.

6PM | Starlit Private Dining

Share a customizable four-course menu complete with wine pairings by our in-house sommelier, and watch the sunset from the best seat in the house: Our oceanfront. Shoes are optional; appetite is recommended.

Day 4

7AM | Beachside Yoga

It’s fitting to greet the beginning of a new day with sun salutations. Awaken the body and connect with your breath in this spiritual center, one that replenishes the soul with tranquil fishponds and lush greenery.

9:30AM | Historic Walking Tour

Mauna Lani is calling all young explorers to wander amongst Kalāhuipuaʻa, which has functioned in harmony with land and sea for centuries. Ask the Living Culture team about the supernatural eel that inhabits the fishponds, or the meaning behind the name "Kalāhuipua'a."

10AM | Kuleana Rum Works Farm Tour

While your little ones hang out at Young Explorers Club, head north to explore Kuleana Rum Works’s sugarcane farm. Home to 44 acres of heirloom sugarcane varieties, this storied plot of land produces cane juice that is fermented, distilled and aged to create award-winning rum.

1PM | Mai Tai Mixology Class and Lunch

Continue your culinary adventure with the help of our friends at Kuleana Rum Works, a Hawai’i-born rum distillery and restaurant. Mix your own Mai Tai using Kuleana Rum Works’s world-class rum, and pair your creation with casual bar bites in Kuleana Rum Shack’s restaurant turned “bar lab.”

6:30PM | Stars & S'mores

What’s summertime without a campfire? Gather the ‘ohana for an evening of sunsets, s’mores and stars on the lawn, where longer days mean more time to play.

Day 5

10AM | Wake-Up Call

Make a pit-stop at the Market before setting out on a morning stroll along the Fisherman’s Trail. Our go-to order? Fresh malasadas with a cup of 100% Kona coffee.

Noon | Tee Time on the South Course

Get in the swing of things on NBC GolfPass’s #1 golf course in the United States. Home to unparalleled Pacific Ocean Views and Hole No.15, one of the world’s most photographed over-the-ocean holes, the South Course is a golf fanatic’s dream. As you brush up on your golf skills, send your kiddos on a seaside adventure with Young Explorers Club and Mika, Mauna Lani's resort pup.

3PM | Happy Hour at the Clubhouse Bar

After the round of a lifetime, hit the 19th hole for happy hour. Talk story over a frosty pint of local beer on draft, or pregame dinner with fresh chips and guacamole.

Day 6

9:30AM | Hula Lesson

Practice the timeless art of hula on Hōkū Lawn. As you learn the basics of this ancient form of dance, draw inspiration from your surroundings - the palm trees, the native flowers, the ocean – and sway with the trade winds.

11:30AM | E-Bike to Petroglyph Park

Led by our Kainalu Pros, this guided e-bike adventure takes you through Puakō Petroglyph Archaeological Preserve, a 223-acre time capsule that holds more than 3,000 lava rock carvings.

1PM | Lounge Beachside

Kick back and relax on a Hālau daybed after a morning of exploration. Stock your cooler with hard kombucha and made-to-order sandwiches from the Market, or treat yourself to poolside service while dozing off between Lani Tais.

6PM | Dinner at the Surf Shack

Reminiscent of Hawaii’s most iconic surf dens, the Surf Shack transforms from retro hideaway to laid-back eatery when golden hour comes around. After you’ve had your fill of vitamin sea, curate a feast of poke bowls, fish tacos and lobster rolls with truffle mayo.

Day 7: Departure

8AM | Canoe Snorkel Beyond the Reef

Grab your gear and hop in the canoe, paddling past the shallows to reach world-class snorkel spots frequented by our Kainalu Pros. As you drop anchor and dive in, lose yourself in stretches of coral reefs, schools of tropical fish and more.

11AM | Shopping Spree at Milo

Shop this summer’s exclusive drops at Milo, Mauna Lani’s lifestyle boutique. From sustainable ready-to-wear to your new go-to beach bag, Milo provides everything you need for every step of your journey, for every member of your family and for your loved ones back home.
