HāLani is the resort's open-air eatery well-appointed alongside the pool and expansive oceanfront lawn. Rooted in craftsmanship and local sensibility, the restaurant’s collection of master chefs serve up Mediterranean dishes such as grilled fish, roasted vegetables, and homemade pastas all complemented with locally-sourced ingredients.

MEET CHEF CHRIS DAMSKEY

My mantra is ‘eat local but taste global,’” says HāLani executive chef Chris Damskey. The result? Bold, flavorful cuisine that pays homage to worldly ingredients and techniques, all matched by the excitement and welcoming ambiance that HāLani brings to each guest’s culinary journey. Chef Damskey, who has trained under the most renowned chefs, including Jean-Gorges Vongerichten, Charlie Trotter, and Alan Wong, will spotlight Hawaii Island produce in the community-driven and internationally-influenced menu that celebrates globally inspired coastal Mediterranean cuisine. “I want to set a casual yet fun and flavorful expectation at HāLani, where people start off with items to share,” says Chef. He sees his role as both chef and educator, committed to introducing guests to flavors and ingredients unique to Hawai‘i.
