Nurturing the Next Generation of Farmers

Enriching Lives

Malliouhana has joined forces with the Alwyn Allison Richardson Primary School (AARPS) to create and maintain a vegetable garden based on sustainable agricultural practices. The garden will be based on sustainable agricultural practices in an effort to instill an appreciation for agriculture in our children and nurture the next generation of farmers.

The Inspired Growth Project will focus on mentorship, hands-on involvement for the students in the gardening/farming lifestyle and sustainable agriculture education. As part of the partnership, we will provide the school the necessary resources to develop the garden including manpower, soil and fertilizer, as well as hands-on involvement and mentorship for the students in an effort to nurture the next generation of farmers. They will learn about sustainable agriculture from our culinary team and guest speakers. We aim to expand this initiative to various primary schools across the island to educate and excite students about farming in such a way that it sparks interest in future career opportunities in agriculture.
