Simply entering Domaine des Etangs is calming; as you walk through the storybook-like grounds, you feel your shoulders drop. It is clear that wellness is present at every part of your stay. Cross a stone bridge – one traversed by knights to arrive at Le Moulin, a thoughtfully preserved former mill at the water’s edge that houses our wellness center. There you will discover a menu of modern treatments that pull inspiration from the ages and the seasons. Elsewhere throughout the Domaine, our thermal bath house restores balance, while indoor and outdoor pools invite you to immerse yourself in warm water and glorious scenery simultaneously. Tennis, riding, rowing, cycling and hiking become elevated experiences, thanks to a setting of woods, ponds and meadows that roll over our 2,500 acres of preserved nature.

Year-round warmth and relaxation

Le Salle De Sport

Housed in a greenhouse, the Salle De Sport is a fitness center like no other. Amongst the trees, modern fitness equipment allows for intense workouts, while the lush lawns shaded by old growth trees provide the perfect outdoor space for mat-based workouts. Here, you can also find all the equipment needed to take advantage of the Domaine’s signature floating tennis courts.

Les Thermes

At the cellar level of the Château, the Gallo-Roman inspired Les Thermes features a succession of mist-filled steam rooms that follow the Roman plan, moving from hot to warm to cool to maximize the benefits of the water-based treatment. Temperatures range from 7°C (45°F ) in the cooling alcove to 50° (122°F) in the hamman, allowing time and space for the muscles to fully relax and release all tension. Spend a languorous hour shedding tension before relaxing by the heated indoor pool, with its floor-to-ceiling windows looking directly out onto lush grounds for a post-swim snooze. At 35°C (95°F), the pool’s embrace offers respite and warmth even on a brisk winter day.

Outdoor Pool

Look right to spy the Château’s pond; look left to see its signature turrets. Breathe in the scent of freshly cut grass. Feel the warmth of the water on your skin. A dip in our outdoor pool is a feast for all the senses. Heated to a pleasant 25°C (77°F), the pool is open from June to September. Daybeds, umbrellas, and deckchairs make this a place to while away the hours in perfect harmony with nature.

Fitness Out of Doors

Working out becomes play in the most magnificent of settings. Whichever way you prefer to move your body, whether it’s a stroll through the woods or a high-intensity tennis match, we have the perfect place. Domaine des Etangs’ 2,500 acres of preserved nature encompass innumerable sites of natural beauty (of course, there’s also an indoor gym). Cycle the forest trails, take a rowboat out on the pond, bring a horse for a canter through the meadows, or simply amble around the kitchen garden. At every turn—and in every season— there’s something new and magnificent to encounter.
