Dine at the Domaine

The freshest seasonal produce is handpicked daily in the estate’s spiral-shaped organic garden, then prepared to perfection in the château’s kitchens. Dyades is the estate’s main restaurant, which opens onto a terrace with picture-postcard views, but meals can be relished wherever you choose. Savor a picnic in a peaceful glade, a barbeque in your garden, a celebration in Monade, the château’s private dining room. Or, dine in your Farmhouse Cottage with the Domain’s bistro-style room-service menu.

Dyades at Domaine des Etangs

A dyad is a meeting of two complementary principles and elements. Our kitchen strives to achieve that ideal each day, reaching a beautiful and delicious harmony. Our ingredients don’t travel far—they’re sourced directly from the estate’s organic garden and local producers. (The estate’s commitment to sustainability and permaculture has been recognized with two Ecotable awards.) Our menu changes with the seasons, making use of long-standing regional cooking traditions so that each dish reflects the landscape and the people that make the Limousin region so exceptional.
  • Indulge in the culinary enchantments of France at Dyades, where traditional French cuisine is infused with a modern approach to dining and a touch of rural charm. Inspired by the seasons and ingredients from our Potager, menus by Chef Matthieu Pasgrimaud change weekly.

  • The gastronomic dinner menu is served Wednesday – Saturday evenings.
The bistronomic menu is served for lunch from Monday – Sunday.
Sunday – Tuesday we serve a bistronomic menu exclusively for guests of the Domaine.

  • A 35€ 3-course Market lunch is available Monday – Saturday at Dyades.

The Potager

Our alluring 21,527 sq. ft. vegetable garden is a cornucopia of color, fragrance, and flavor. If you’ve got a green thumb, join the Domaine gardener on a guided tour through this spiral-shaped wonderland, where they’ll introduce you to the ins and outs of a working kitchen garden. Its bounty—herbs, edible flowers, root vegetables, leafy greens, stem vegetables, and fruit—supplies Dyades, so the plants you admire in the afternoon can be enjoyed on your plate in the evening. Because of our farm-to-table ethos, we adhere strictly to all-organic produce and practices. Learn more about these, and the principles of permaculture, on this in-depth tour. And end the afternoon with a blind tasting of some of our favorite hand-raised aromatic plants.
