As the sun dips below the horizon, the Mansion’s terrace becomes the perfect setting for a magical evening. “My go-to starter? The hushpuppies – crispy, golden perfection,” Nicole says. “Pair them with oysters, caviar and the irresistible fries drizzled in rich brown butter sauce. For the main course, it’s always a tough choice between the house-made pasta, a perfectly cooked steak or the indulgent burger – each one a bite of pure bliss.”
Day 2
Morning | Hit the Trail
Start your morning with a refreshing walk or run along the Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail – one of Austin’s true gems. “It’s a perfect blend of nature and city life, offering a serene escape right in the heart of downtown. I feel so lucky to experience it every week.”
Midday | Retail Therapy
For lunch, unwind poolside before heading out for an afternoon of culture or shopping. “Stop by By George on South Congress – they carry my fine jewelry line, Nicole Trunfio Jewelry, along with beautifully curated homewares and skincare,” Nicole says. “Or, if you’re shopping for the perfect gift from the Live Music Capital of the World, Austin Vintage Guitars is a must-visit.”
Afternoon | Museum Break
Art lovers shouldn’t miss The Blanton Museum. “It’s a world-class experience, and I love bringing my kids to explore and appreciate its incredible collection.”
Dinner | Sushi Sojourn
“For dinner, treat yourself to Uchi, my all-time favorite sushi spot (and I’ve been everywhere)! Be sure to try the legendary candy bar dessert and a Demon Slayer in a Box – it’s perfection.”
Day 3
Morning | Lake Day
“Take a boat from dam to dam on Lake Austin – I bring everyone who visits because it’s one of the most breathtaking ways to see the city,” Nicole says. “The lake is absolutely stunning, and we always make a stop at Ski Shores Cafe for a laid-back bite. The vibe there is just right.”
Evening | East Side Possibilities
For a unique night out, head to Justine’s Brasserie on the East Side and get a tintype photo in the Lumiere booth. You’ll need a reservation, but it’s well worth it. Then, check out The Flower Shop, the coolest new East Side bar and hangout.
