About Brooks Reitz
- Brooks Reitz is an entrepreneur in food, beverage, and hospitality. He owns and operates three restaurants in Charleston: Leon's Oyster Shop, Little Jack's Tavern, and Melfi's, as well as The Bell, a British pub in New Orleans. Brooks is the founder of Jack Rudy Cocktail Co., a manufacturer of cocktail mixers, bar tools, and accessories distributed internationally. He also writes 'A Small & Simple Thing,' a weekly newsletter focusing on food, travel, design, style, and entertaining.
About Leon’s Oyster Shop
- Leon's Oyster Shop is a laid-back joint specializing in fried chicken and oysters alongside salads that are better than you'd expect, cheap beer, soft serve, rosé on tap, frozen G&T’s, tons of grower champagne, and chuggable cocktails – all in an old garage in downtown Charleston, SC.
About Melfi’s
- Melfi’s is a grown-up Italian restaurant in downtown Charleston with fresh pasta and Roman-style thin-crust pizza cooked in dual wood-burning ovens alongside beautiful small plates, vegetables, and elegant entrees. The room is anchored by a long wooden bar next to linen-draped tables, and it pulses with energy. The sophisticated surroundings are the perfect setting for an intimate dinner for 2, or for a proper adults evening on the town.
