The Seashore Trolley Museum was founded in 1939 with one open trolley car, #31 from Maine’s Biddeford and Saco Railroad. Today, the collection contains over 250 transit vehicles from almost all major cities in the United States that had streetcar systems, as well as from other cities around the world. Enjoy a ride through the Maine countryside aboard one of the restored electric streetcars from the early 20th century. Learn how streetcars moved the people who built our major cities, and how they helped develop the suburbs surrounding them.
