Experiences for kids and families throughout Auberge Resorts Collection this summer include:
Summer Camp for the Mini Ocean Explorer
From June through August, Anguilla’s most storied hotel, Malliouhana, Auberge Resorts Collection, invites mini explorers to revel in the Caribbean’s blissful natural surroundings as they tune out the world and tune into life by the water. The resort’s curated Mini Explorers Summer Program includes boat racing, a treasure hunt, snorkeling adventure, junior chef class and kite-making, a favorite pastime and tradition for local Anguillians. The program is offered as a full- or half-day immersion. On the Island of Hawai’i, Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection is offering a five-day summer camp for kids. The Kūkini Adventure Camp itinerary incorporates Hawaiian culture through various activities – from contemporary marine science to traditional Hawaiian sports. The resort is also offering the Be A Pro Sports Camp, which is led by Mauna Lani’s sports professionals for a more action-packed itinerary, including water sports, golf, and tennis games that explore teamwork, coordination and friendly competition.
Outdoor Journeys for the Naturalist-in-Training
Empowering kids through exploration, Little Vaquero’s Club at The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Resorts Collection in Park City is the ideal summer camp for younger guests. Kids will spend the day learning and caring for farm animals, embarking on nature trails to view wild animals, and testing navigational skills with geocaching treasure hunts. In New England, little ones can discover the magic of the countryside at Mayflower Inn & Spa, Auberge Resorts Collection with the new Little Laurels Summer Camp, inspired by the countryside’s blissful nature and the inn’s longstanding commitment to education and empowerment of young visitors. Every Saturday this summer, campers can partake in a field and flower school, woodland cycling adventures through Steep Rock with trained guides, little archer’s club to learn the fundamentals of the ancient tradition of archery and kid’s alfresco yoga classes.
Lessons in Culture for the Young Globetrotter
One-of-a-kind experiences for kids at Esperanza, Auberge Resorts Collection and Chileno Bay Resort & Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection connect with the culture and lifestyle of Los Cabos. With Esperanza, Auberge Resorts Collection’s new Immersive Experiences, families can explore the flora, fauna and creatures that inhabit the area and learn to salsa on the dance floor. Through the Tortuguitas Kids Club, kids can take a Mexican Cooking Class with the resort’s talented chef or create a painting masterpiece or clay artwork with a local artisan. At Chileno Bay Resort & Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection, Pescaditos Kids Club, which features a selection of English and Spanish books and endless activities like piñata making, is designed for young explorers. After a day at the club, the whole family can reunite at Mirador Point for a Pericú-Nic (traditional Baja-style picnic) while whale watching and enjoying a basket of regional family favorites.
Active Adventures for the Little Mountaineer
Telluride’s newly renovated Madeline Hotel & Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection is a beautiful sanctuary with lawn games, a fabulous swimming pool, easy access to hiking, gondola rides and thrills at Mountain Village’s Adventure Activity Center, all of which can be curated into Camp Madeline family itineraries. Little visitors of Primland, Auberge Resorts Collection in Virginia have the opportunity to gain basic mountaineering skills through the curated Summer Family Fun Camp. From guided archery and fly-fishing sessions to a stargazing journey learning to read the night sky, kids will embark on wilderness adventures and discover a deep connection to nature in the Blue Ridge Mountains over the course of a day. Together, families can also savor classic experiences together like Monday movie nights and Tuesday game nights.
Creative Inspiration for the Future Artists
Commodore Perry Estate, Auberge Resorts Collection’s giant oak trees and lush gardens are the ideal backdrops for a botany-inspired class in Austin. Budding artists can get up-close to nature with the resort’s Flower Pressing Class or be inspired by the natural surroundings as they learn one of photography’s oldest processes, the Cyanotype. Upon opening this summer, Bishop’s Lodge, Auberge Resorts Collection will allow kids to express their creative spirit with an Alfresco Art Workshop, in which local artist Barbara Meikle will make Expressive Impressionism relatable to all ages, or an Art Walk Tour for the whole family in the world-class art destination of Santa Fe. Multi-generations can also embark on guided hikes or horseback riding across the property’s scenic trails, a family float trip down the Rio Grande, or a chocolate-making class at a renowned chocolate house. In Aspen, young aspiring performers at Hotel Jerome, Auberge Resorts Collection can join Theatre Aspen for an imaginative three, four- or five-day theater camp program this summer. Junior drama enthusiasts will learn collaborative skills, forge new friendships and build confidence through empowering activities, from improvisational games and outdoor recreation to guidance from some of the best teaching artists in the business. At the end of the program, families are invited to attend the campers’ showcase performance.
