Experience the Timber Room

Dining rooted in the local terrain

Anchored by a commanding double-sided fireplace, the newly debuted Timber Room blends chalet vibes with modern elements. The social heart of the resort features cozy lounges for two and chic booths punctuated by mountain landscapes. An ornate oak bar inspired by folkloric alpine design is a nod to jet-setting ski destinations such as Magève and Gstaad. Timber Room’s outdoor space leads into Reflection Plaza, the most picturesque setting in Telluride, where guests can keep warm under sheepskin blankets and nestle next to a fire pit under a starlit sky.

One-of-a-kind Experiences

Madeline Hotel is adventure central, with ski-in, ski-out access, and located steps away from where hiking trails start and access to the rugged Colorado backcountry begins.

Ice Climbing

Do Telluride’s Must-Try Winter Sport: Ice Climbing

As Madeline’s General Manager, I’m pretty spoiled for choice when it comes to winter sports. When I want to feel the thrill of soaring down the mountain, I ski. When I want to explore the deep tranquility of the backcountry, I snowshoe. When I want to feel as if I’m floating over the snow, I hop on my fat tire bike. Now, after an amazing half-day adventure with Mountain Trip, I have an exhilarating new winter sport to add to my repertoire: ice climbing.

Celebrate Even Butch Cassidy Can't Steal Our 4 Diamond Ranking

Each year, AAA announces all hotels and restaurants across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean that received the Four or Five Diamond Rating during the previous year. What an honor to be among the ranking and to receive our first 4-Diamond rating! Telluride is a town of great history, character and lore. It is where Butch Cassidy robbed his first bank and was the first city lit by Nikola Tesla’s method of alternating current electric power. More recently Telluride has been recognized as one of the best ski destinations in the U.S. and the world.

Go My Favorite Place in Telluride Is Suspended in Air at 10,540 Feet

We only put 130 miles on our rented car— 65 miles to the Madeline, and 65 back to the airport. The car lived in the lap of luxury in the parking garage our entire stay, largely thanks to Telluride’s free gondola.
