COLORADO (June X, 2020) – With longer days and warmer nights ahead, Hotel Jerome, Auberge Resorts Collection in Aspen and Madeline Hotel & Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection in Telluride today announced they will welcome guests with new outdoor adventures, creative culinary experiences and playful amenities this summer. The two Colorado resorts are now accepting reservations for overnight stays at Hotel Jerome beginning June 18 and Madeline Hotel & Residences beginning June 26. Located only a four-hour drive from each other, both hotels are a springboard for adventure, situated steps away from where hiking trails start and the backcountry begins, but each with their own distinctive expression of Colorado.

“We are thrilled to welcome guests back to Hotel Jerome and Madeline this summer,” said John Volponi, Regional Vice President, Auberge Resorts Collection. “From our new elevated outdoor adventures and thoughtful kid itineraries, to live music at Hotel Jerome and our beloved Golden Retriever Ajax at Madeline, guests will feel right at home at our two iconic Colorado properties.”

Guests will have the option of virtual check-in and the ability to select from individually packaged treats, water bottles and homemade granola bars located on each floor.

Ideally situated in the mountain playground of Telluride, Madeline Hotel & Residences features guest rooms and suites and one- to four-bedroom residential condominiums that offer expansive Mountain Village views and sophisticated alpine amenities. Madeline will open with a new Executive Chef Bill Greenwood who will lead Black Iron Kitchen + Bar, a new series of culinary pop-ups including world-renowned Chef Mads Refslund of Noma, daily salt rituals with the Madeline Spa gurus, and movies under the stars.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURES

At Hotel Jerome, guests can horseback ride through Aspen groves, fly fish in Roaring Fork River, rock climb Independence Pass, zipline through alpine trees, and even paraglide over Aspen Mountain. New this summer, Auberge Resorts Collection has partnered with award-winning luxury travel company, Black Tomato, for a seven-night road trip through Colorado and Utah, starting at Hotel Jerome. Under the care of private guides, guests will hike the Maroon Bells, bike the Rio Grande and enjoy a private flight over Aspen. They’ll also spend a day discovering hidden gems in Aspen with a beloved local, outdoor enthusiast and owner of one of Aspen’s most famous luxury boutiques.

Echoing Telluride’s natural spirit of adventure and exploration, guests at Madeline can hike and bike through high-country, whitewater raft down famous Colorado rapids, golf among the Rockies, motor along the San Juan Skyway and enjoy gravity-defying thrills in Mountain Village. New this summer, Madeline has partnered with Mike and Selah Schneiter for a three-day immersion into the world of climbing. In 2019, Selah became the youngest person to climb El Capitan in Yosemite National Park and was listed as one of Outside Magazine’s Outsider of the Year. Bring the family and climb Telluride’s Via Ferrata and an iconic 14er mountain.

For the little pioneers, Hotel Jerome and Madeline are introducing new activities for kids to have a memorable vacation in the Rockies. At Jerome, kids will have the opportunity to complete an Aspen passport with assigned tasks that will take them all over town. Upon completion of each task, kids will receive a pin to match their adventure. At Madeline, kids will receive a kid pack with activities to elevate the adventure. As they complete their daily camp activities and nature explorations, they’ll earn “color-your-own” patches and show off their accomplishments. At both properties, families can gather under teepees and order in-tent dining, while also playing board games and reading books with their little ones.

EXQUISITE CULINARY POP-UPS & DINING EXPERIENCES

This summer Hotel Jerome is offering new 4x4s – a refined wine, whisky and cigar tasting for groups of four guests on the hotel’s balcony and a Better Bar in its outdoor courtyard space that will offer wellness drinks, boozy popsicles and even immunity shots that can be added to cocktails for a little extra fun. Hotel Jerome is also implementing a High Noon Ritual to support the local Aspen Fire Department and to honor the daily Aspen tradition of sounding off a whistle at high noon. In doing this, the hotel will offer a High Noon Margarita with a portion of the profits going directly to the Department.

Madeline’s new Executive Chef Bill Greenwood – who was previously at Beano’s Cabin in Beaver Creek – will bring his expertise to the hotel’s signature restaurant, Black Iron Kitchen + Bar, blending Rocky Mountain flavors with the pioneering essence of the American West. Beginning this summer and through the remainder of the year, guests and locals can enjoy a series of culinary pop-ups from celebrated restaurants and distilleries including Dean Fearing, of Fearing’s restaurant (Dallas, Texas), Matt Lewis’s Baked NYC (New York) and Michael Myers award-winning Distillery 291 (Colorado Springs).
