Eco-friendly Initiatives
Environmental Health
- Restaurant ingredients are sourced locally and regionally while emphasizing sustainable, organic and seasonal products
- The Restaurant’s extensive wine list highlights bio-dynamic and organic wines
- The Auberge du Soleil Spa features Rivolta Carmignani linens which meet Oek-Tex manufacturing standards and uphold the Blulino trademark
- In-house filtered water is offered in all dining outlets and in-room at turn-down in lieu of bottled water
- Biodegradable cleaning products are utilized throughout the resort
- Property-wide use of low VOC paints
- Drought Conservation Messaging throughout the Property
Resource Conservation
- Waste-wise purchasing policy significantly reduces single stream output
- Power purchased from renewable sources including MCE (solar, wind, geothermal)
- Resort-wide recycling and re-use system for paper, glass, cardboard, metal, and oil, as well as active participation in Re-Cork America wine cork recycling
- Premium organic, locally-crafted bath amenities are presented in refillable bulk-dispensers in all guest rooms, the Auberge du Soleil Spa and public restrooms
- Energy conservation administered through a sustainable light selection of dimmer switches, CFL bulbs and LED lighting, and Integrated Water Management implemented throughout the property
- Equipment replaced on an "as needed basis" and with Energy Star certified selections when available
- Office products are sourced from Give Something Back, including 100% post-consumer waste recycled copy paper

Napa Valley Vine Trail
Auberge du Soleil is an active member and supporter of The Napa Valley Vine Trail, a grassroots organization chartered with constructing a 44 mile multi-use recreational trail for hiking, jogging and biking, that connects Napa Valley with San Francisco starting at the Vallejo Ferry and running the length of the Valley to Calistoga. The hotel matches a recommended $4 donation from every guest reservation (opt out available at checkout) to support the effort.

Auberge du Soleil is a Gold Level GreenLeader in the TripAdvisor® GreenLeaders™ program, which helps travelers plan greener trips by identifying environmentally-friendly accommodations across the U.S. The hotel has met a set of environmental standards developed for TripAdvisor by a leading environmental consulting firm, with input from expert partners.
Deep Green
As a Deep Green customer Auberge du Soleil receives zero emission power. Half of the premium goes into Marin Clean Energy's Deep Green Development Fund which finances the start-up costs of new, local, renewable power projects.
Bay Area Green Business Certified
Auberge du Soleil is proud to be the first hotel in the Napa Valley certified through the Bay Area Green Business Program.
