Esperanza, Auberge Resorts Collection Debuts Dramatic Oceanfront Event Space Perched On The Bluffs In Los Cabos

CABO SAN LUCAS, MEXICO (September 2018)Esperanza, Auberge Resorts Collection announces a new dramatic oceanfront event space, AIRE, perched at the edge of the Punta Ballena cliffs in Los Cabos overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Opening this November alongside the resort’s re-imagined Cocina del Mar restaurant, AIRE will create a myriad of seaside celebration possibilities in an unrivaled clifftop setting that feels as though one is standing at the edge of the continent. Featuring gorgeous retractable floor-to-ceiling glass walls, AIRE will allow guests and planners to choose between an open-air setting or enclosed, air-conditioned space – to take in the stunning panoramic views of the ocean and coastline.

Designed by Milo Garcia of Los Angeles-based Studio Mai, the oceanfront palapa space will feature a coastal palette of sandy-toned neutrals and cool ocean blues and draw in the energy of the salty sea breeze and crashing ocean waves. Offering 1,808 square feet of convertible indoor/outdoor space, AIRE can accommodate both intimate soirees and grand affairs with space for up to 250 guests (or 500 guests when combined with Cocina del Mar). AIRE will be ideal for destination weddings, private parties and groups functions, offering an unforgettable venue set in an equally stunning natural setting where the sun meets the sea.

The reimagined Cocina del Mar restaurant perched on the bluffs next to AIRE will awaken guests’ senses with a new menu that weaves together the region’s freshest seafood with creative twists on traditional Baja flavors. A buzzing lantern lit bar and lounge will invite guests to mingle over hand-crafted cocktails, while a series of tiered terraces will spill into the Sea of Cortez and offer dramatic dining spaces with sweeping ocean views. A dynamic outdoor exhibition kitchen will be alive with energy as guests engage with chefs and explore fresh sea-fare with a Cabo twist and regionally inspired cocktails beside a glowing wood fired oven. Executive Chef Guillermo Gomez will take guests on a culinary journey through the Sea of Cortez and Cabo’s verdant farms with a menu that weaves together Baja’s freshest seafood with the region’s most alluring flavors.


Groups can immerse themselves in land and sea adventures through new culinary activities and experiences at Esperanza including digging for the region’s native chocolata clams, diving for sea urchins, pottery making with a local artisan, seaside clambakes with local breweries and pop-up dinners in the resort’s agave garden.
