Hotel Updates

  • Is there anything new or noteworthy about renovations?
    Our Forbes Five Star Spa, which reopened in December 2023 after a complete renovation, now offers an expanded selection of treatments and wellness journeys designed to promote holistic well-being, providing a tranquil retreat for ultimate relaxation. In 2024, we proudly introduced Alma, a chic and inviting gathering spot perfect for a morning bite or an evening cocktail.

  • Can I dine anywhere in the resort?
    Guests of Esperanza are welcome to enjoy any of the resort restaurants. In addition, there are a selection of special event spaces throughout the resort where private dinners can be arranged.

Resort Fees 

  • What taxes and fees does your property charge?
    Daily room rates are subject to a 16% VAT and 4% lodging tax,15% service fee and a $4.10 environmental sanitation tax. The service fee is 15% of room cost, of which 100% is distributed to the staff.

    Yes, there is a service charge of 15%.
  • What items are included with the Service Charge?
    Wireless internet throughout the resort. Access to all pools, fitness center and classes. In-room bottled water and non-alcoholic drinks. Nightly turndown service, welcome drink and fresh fruit bowl.

Transportation

  • Can the hotel pick me up?
    Private airport transportation between San José del Cabo International Airport (SJD) and Esperanza is available upon request for $215 each way (inclusive of tax and service charge), with a maximum of 5 passengers per vehicle. Rates for larger vehicles are also available. To arrange resort transportation, please call 855-331-2226 or email esp.concierge@aubergeresorts.com. Prices are subject to change.
  • How far is the hotel from the airport ?
    Esperanza is 35 minutes from the San Jose del Cabo airport.
  • Does your resort offer a shuttle service?
    Enjoy complimentary evening shuttle service between Esperanza and Chileno Bay
  • What are the various costs for a limo/taxi/town car etc.?
    For off-property excursions, we can pre-arrange private ground transportation. Please provide your transportation needs in advance. Local taxis are readily available for travel within the Los Cabos area, and our concierge is happy to assist with scheduling. Car rentals are available at the airport, or you may contact the concierge if you would prefer to pick up your car rental directly at the hotel.

  • What is the Deposit Policy?
    2 night deposit including tax and service fee is due at the time of booking. The deposit policy for December holiday bookings vary.  Kindly contact resort for details.

    There is a fee for guests over 2 per bedroom.

Pet Policies

  • What is the pet fee?
    The resort accommodates pets for $125 plus taxes per stay per pet. Please note that pets must be leashed at all times while on property. Owners are responsible for curbing their pets. Pets are not permitted in any restaurant or pool areas.
  • Number of pets allowed?
    Two dogs maximum are allowed.
  • Special pet amenities and services?
    Walking service is available for a nominal charge.
  • Support animals allowed?
    Yes, service animals are allowed and the pet fee is waived.
  • Are there any weight or breed limits?
    Pets have to be less than 40 pounds.
  • What is provided with the pet fee?
    Complimentary pet kits upon check-in include a pet bed, water & food dish.

Housekeeping and Laundry Services

    Yes, laundry and dry cleaning services are available and can be arranged.
  • How do I get my clothes pressed?
    This can be coordinated with the concierge. Additional fees apply.
  • Do you have a lost and found?
    Yes, Esperanza does have a lost and found.
  • What does your turndown service entail?
    Turndown includes preparation of the bed and room for bedtime. Includes closing of draperies, removal of trash, refresh of bath linen, nightly candles are lit. The room and bathroom are refreshed as part of the service. Turndown can be tailored for specific celebratory occasions. Kindly inquire for details.
  • How frequent is housekeeping?
    Housekeeping is twice daily, morning and evening turndown service unless requested otherwise.
  • Is there a cost for laundry?
    Laundry services are priced individually.
  • Laundry pick up time and time to finish?
    Varies depending on the guest requirements.
