Introducing Auberge Insiders

Oscar-nominated singer, songwriter and musician Abraham Alexander shares, "Bowie House feels like home every time I come back. This is the one spot that gives me everything I’m looking for: a sense of community, a pulse of energy and that familiar feeling of comfort. It’s the epicenter of everything that home means to me. Bowie House doesn’t just welcome me back – it embraces me."

Day 1

"I love starting the day with a beet juice from Bricks and Horses and grabbing a healthy lunch at Whinny’s before taking a dip in the Bowie House pool. It’s a true metropolitan oasis, offering the perfect blend of city life and serene escape."
  • Afternoon | Lunch at Whinny’s

Imagine sitting poolside, savoring the ideal menu for warm-weather snacking – light salads, crudités, ice cream sandwiches and frozen drinks. Welcome to Whinny’s, Bowie House’s poolside restaurant and bar. Whether you are enjoying the terrace pool or relaxing in a cabana beneath the Texas sun, enjoy the perfect refreshing menu.

    Treasure Hunt Around Fort Worth

“I’d be a bad friend if I haven’t brought you to Doc’s Records & Vintage,” Abraham says “The front of the store is all vinyl but the back of the store is where you find all the hidden gems – tons of awesome vintage clothes. Studio 74 is another great spot for vintage finds, and Montgomery Street Antique Mall is perfect for unique pieces.”

  • Evening | Dinner and Drinks at The Bar

After a day of exploring, settle in for dinner and drinks at The Bar at Bowie House. It’s the perfect spot for people watching or listening to local musicians.

Day 2

"One of the best things about Bowie House is its location – it is right in the heart of Fort Worth, and there are so many ways to explore the city."
  • Morning | Coffee and walking along the Trinity River

Order your morning brew at the coffee bar at Bowie House. Enjoy the fresh air in The Yard before going for a run or leisurely stroll along the Trinity River.

  • Afternoon | Lunch at Press Cafe

From artisanal salads to mouthwatering sandwiches, a casual lunch at Press Cafe is a great way to spend an afternoon. Pro tip: On Saturday mornings, check out the Clearfork Farmer’s Market right next door.

    Gallery and Museum Tours

“I love exploring The Gallery at Bowie House and the incredible collections at the Modern Art Museum. Between the Black History Museum and the downtown hidden gem, the Caravan of Dreams Gallery, the arts and culture scene in Fort Worth cannot be beat.”

  • Evening | Dinner at Bricks and Horses

Down-home Texas cuisine meets city sophistication at Bowie House’ signature restaurant, Bricks and Horses. “Personally, I’m all about the crab cake Louie, but I’ve also heard rave reviews about the Cowboy Caviar Service,” Abraham says.

Day 3

"When I need to reset, Bowie House is the perfect spot. Ash Spa is hands-down my favorite in Fort Worth – they have great treatments that help me feel refreshed."
  • Morning | Deep West Massage at Ash

A treatment that releases head-to-toe deep-seated tension using acupressure, stretching, cupping and heated pads. An integrated bodywork session that targets every body muscle, including the scalp and facial muscles.

  • Afternoon | Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District

Step into the West and experience the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. Learn the lay of the land with a private walking tour, view the world’s only twice-daily cattle drive or venture into Cowtown Coliseum, home of the world’s first indoor rodeo, for an unforgettable experience.

  • Evening | Dinner at Don Artemio’s

Inspired by Mexico ́s traditional cuisine, Don Artemio’s is constantly exploring different techniques and looking for new ingredients to create contemporary dishes that indulge the palate. Don’t miss the nopalitos fritos cactus tacos – they’re a game-changer.
