Calistoga Ranch Receives Top Honors in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2013 Readers’ Poll for Best Spas

CALISTOGA RANCH, CALIFORNIA (February 12, 2013) – Calistoga Ranch, An Auberge Resort,  in Napa Valley, has been awarded top marks in the 2013 Condé Nast Traveler Spa Poll, published in the magazine’s March issue. The Bathhouse Spa at Calistoga Ranch ranked No. 21 in the “Top 100 U.S. Resort Spas” list. The 2013 Spa Poll results were derived from Condé Nast Traveler’s 2012 Readers’ Choice survey, where readers evaluated the world’s leading hotel spas on their facilities, staff and treatments.

“We are so honored that year after year, the readers of Condé Nast Traveler select The Bathhouse as one of the country’s best spas,” said Coni Thornburg, General Manager of Calistoga Ranch, an Auberge Resort. “Whether it’s soaking in a private outdoor tub with mineral water or enjoying a treatment infused with fresh honey harvested from our very own bee hives, The Bathhouse is deeply dedicated to providing our guests with memorable experiences that reflect the beauty of Napa Valley.”

The Bathhouse, situated on the banks of the spring-fed Lake Lommel, is designed to pay tribute to Calistoga’s centuries-old legacy as a site for healing mineral waters, and features a natural mineral pool and quiet treatment rooms with outdoor garden showers and private soaking tubs. A variety of unique treatments and baths reflect the true Calistoga ritual in an environment of pure relaxation, privacy, and nature. As part of Calistoga Ranch’s inherent commitment to nature, the “Bee Well” program seeks to help re-build the honeybee population in Napa Valley and educate guests about the benefits of the honeybee and their honey. The comprehensive program not only includes eco-luxe, honey-infused spa treatments, but a mobile observation bee hive for guests to enjoy during weekly tours.

Calistoga Ranch is nestled deep in a private canyon on 157 wooded acres with a private lakefront restaurant, fitness center, miles of private hiking trails, a wine cave and a thermal spring-fed Bathhouse spa. The resort’s innovative and eco-conscious design comes to life in each of the luxurious guest Lodges complete with outdoor shower gardens; and programming situated around its two honeybee colonies, a greenhouse and private label vineyard.
