Day 1

"After a day of travel, I love to sneak into Aster for a massage. We designed each treatment room with consideration and the relaxation room is one of my favorite places on property."
  • Morning | Breakfast on the Linnette’s Porch

Enjoy views of the river while starting your day with a delicious southern-inspired breakfast.

  • Afternoon | Aster Spa

The french facials by Biologique Recherche are always highly personalized and leave my skin glowing and I always leave extra time to relax in the peaceful indoor lounge or outdoor garden following my service.

  • Evening | Coastal Safari

Embark on a lovely boat ride along the Kiawah River and you’re sure to see a mix of birds, swimming dolphins, and the occasional alligator!

  • Evening | Pre-Bedtime Treat

Nightly s’mores on the lawn is such a sweet and charming way to end the evening.

Day 2

"Every view and activity revolves around the stunning Kiawah River and its smaller ponds, marshes and coves. From the comfort of your suite or the Willet Room you can enjoy all of the natural beauty of this beautiful island retreat."
  • Morning | Rosebank Farmstand

The stand always has the best local produce and fresh flowers! Oftentimes you’ll find a local artisan finishing off a watercolor painting or basket weaving with dried sweetgrass.

  • Afternoon | Boat to Beach Excursions

The beach picnic experience by boat is a wonderful way for families to explore local waterways with a private captain and guide, complete with a lovely lunch on a nearby beach that feels like you’ve landed on a private island.

  • Late Afternoon | Golden Hour at the Willet Room

A rosé in the Willet Room as the sun is setting is the perfect way to start your evening.

  • Evening | Dinner at Linnette’s

I love to sit outside on the porch in the mornings, but in the evenings, you’ll want a view of the birdcage bar that gives the room extra drama. Don’t miss the locally sourced pickled shrimp appetizer!

Day 3

"Charleston is a short drive from the property, so a day trip shopping and antiquing around town is a must."
  • Morning | Biking Around the Grounds

Borrow a bike from the front desk and explore the Kiawah River property to visit the Goatery, farmhouse, and various ponds that dot the waterfront

  • Afternoon | Exploring Charleston’s Culture & History

Take one of the property’s Mercedes-Benz house cars for a spin and enjoy a charming day in Charleston, including a stroll down the Battery. The City of Charleston is a walking museum! The Aiken Rhett House Museum is a must and feels like you are stepping back in time. I also love to listen to the lectures and enjoy a luncheon at the Charleston Library Society. Plus, Buxton Books next door has the best selection of titles in every category you can imagine.

  • Late Afternoon | Shopping & Antiquing

Shop for dresses at Hill House or Hampden and discover a treasure at Wynsum Antiques & Interiors and Tucker Payne Antiques.

  • Evening | Dinner on your porch

We designed each room at The Dunlin with an inviting screened-in porch that serves as the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy a meal and unwind to the peaceful sounds of the river after a long day of adventures.
