About Grove 45
Grove 45, a small, premium brand of Extra Virgin Olive Oil based in Napa Valley, is entirely female owned and operated. In November 2019, Ana and Marcela Hernandez, a mother-daughter duo with backgrounds in culinary arts and business management, took over the brand. Ana, a Culinary Institute of America graduate, grew up in Guatemala immersed in the food industry and developed a passion for olive oil. Upon discovering neglected olive trees on their St. Helena property, planted by Napa Valley pioneer Charles Krug in the 1880s, Ana revitalized production. Marcela, a graduate of the Eller College of Management, joined her mother to expand Grove 45, focusing on craft cultivation and premium sourcing to maintain the brand's legacy of excellence in Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
