Join us at our coastal oasis for this collaborative epicurean experience at our legendary culinary destination in Kennebunk. Adventure to White Barn Inn for an immersive weekend featuring Chef Barton Seaver and other prominent Maine purveyors, as they celebrate the signature tastes of the Maine coast. Enjoy a curated lineup of events including collaborative dinners with White Barn Inn’s Executive Chef Mathew Woolf, a quintessential, rustic mussel dinner, Maine oyster and beer tasting with Maine Beer Co., specially curated Land & Sea dinner, and fireside chats with the chefs and purveyors. Guests checking in for the weekend will receive a specialty White Barn Inn gift bag featuring Maine culinary favorites like Chef Mathew Woolf’s favorite salt from Maine Salt Farm, Maine Beer Co. forged iron beer opener, White Barn branded oyster shucking knife, and Barton’s signed American Seafood book.

Following dinner, gather by the fire and take in the crisp Fall air for this one-of-a-kind chance to engage with some of Maine’s most prominent chefs and purveyors, as we explore the deep history of fisheries in New England and its iconic culinary heritage as well as the future of seafood both here and away. During this exclusive experience, sip on warming cocktails and indulge in s’mores as the chefs dive into seafood’s relations to climate, public health, and expanded marine economies.

About Chef Barton Seaver

Barton Seaver is one of the world’s leading sustainable seafood experts and educators. Before leaving the restaurant industry to pursue his interests in sustainable food systems, he was an award-winning chef leading top seafood restaurants in Washington, DC. As the Director of the Sustainable Seafood and Health Initiative at the Harvard School of Public Health, Barton led initiatives to inform consumers and institutions about how our choices for diet and menus can promote healthier people, resilient ecosystems and more secure food supplies. He has written seven seafood-centric books and has contributed to Coastal Living, Martha Stewart’s Whole Living, The New York Times, O: The Oprah Magazine, among many others. Barton has appeared on 60 Minutes, CNN, NPR, 20/20 and the TED Talk stage and has hosted In Search of Food on the Ovation Network and Eat: The History of Food on National Geographic TV.
