Nanuku, Auberge Resorts Collection Appoints Nathan Decker As First U.S.-Based Director Of Sales
PACIFIC HARBOUR, FIJI (November 15, 2018) – Nanuku, Auberge Resorts Collection, the quintessential South Pacific paradise set along the adventurous coastline of Fiji’s main island of Viti Levu, adds yet another leader to its distinguished hospitality team with the appointment of Nathan Decker as the first U.S.-based Director of Sales for the resort. A sanctuary for discovery, the all-villa boutique resort welcomes Decker’s energy and drive as he attracts leisure and group travelers to the destination and its unique outdoor exploits in the backdrop of Fiji’s lush tropical landscape. Nathan’s addition marks an exciting time for the property as it unveils 13 brand new contemporary Auberge Beach Villas next month.
“Nanuku is a dynamic resort that continues to attract various types of jetsetters and travel groups due to its ever-adapting roster of unique experiences and welcoming, attentive staff who connect with each and every Nanuku guest,” said Sascha Hemmann, General Manager of Nanuku, Auberge Resorts Collection. “Nathan’s commitment to providing superior guest service underscores Auberge’s unparalleled standard of experience. We are delighted to have him join the Auberge family.”
A West Coast native who received his bachelor’s degree in Hotel Restaurant Management from California State Polytechnic University and Master of Business Administration from the University of Oregon, Decker began his career as Director of National Accounts at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua in Maui in 2003. With eight years of veteran hospitality experience, Decker rose to the position of Director of Sales for Starwood Resorts of Maui and later, The St. Regis Princeville in Kauai. Most recently, he far exceeded sales quotas for two consecutive years as Director of Sales for The Resort at Paws Up in Montana.
“After a rewarding professional experience in the Montana countryside, I am thrilled to return to the Pacific where I can celebrate my passion for the coast by engaging guests in all that Fiji has to offer,” shared Decker. “Nanuku continually reinvents the Fijian adventure, and I am elated to be a part of the authentic and dynamic Auberge team.”
In his new role, Decker oversees all aspects of the resort’s sales and marketing from Los Angeles, California, where he is based. An avid outdoorsman who enjoys trail running, mountain biking, stand-up paddling, scuba diving, surfing, and snowboarding, Decker is a natural fit for Nanuku, whose one-of-a-kind outdoor programming such as Olympic-inspired rugby training, shark diving, waterfall hiking, and indigenous hunting makes it a standout Pacific destination for adventure-seeking travelers around the world.
