This prestigious “World’s Top 50 Hotels” distinction places the eco-luxury, five-star resort known for celebrating the authentic spirit of Napa Valley on an esteemed short list of the most exceptional vacation experiences across the globe.

“We are beyond grateful the trusted readers of Travel + Leisure have chosen Calistoga Ranch as one of their top 50 hotel experiences in the world,” said Coni Thornburg, general manager of Calistoga Ranch, an Auberge Resort. “I want to thank our entire team for their contributions to this incredible honor, as it is their gracious approach to service and unmatched dedication to excellence that have made Calistoga Ranch the meaningful, aspirational vacation retreat it is.”

As a Napa luxury resort, Calistoga Ranch is named one of just three leading California properties, and one of 18 in the U.S., on the 2015 “World’s Top 50 Hotels” list with a reader score of 93.66, which also distinguishes it as the No. 11 U.S. resort in the 40 rooms or more category. Calistoga Ranch is recognized by Travel + Leisure readers for its hushed, Napa Valley setting along with its signature cedar-shingled guest lodges that embody California indoor-outdoor living and an impressive roster of amenities inspired by its wine country landscape that include an on-site vineyard and wine cave, serene spa with locally-sourced ingredients and mineral soaking pools, and nature pursuits including hiking and yoga.

Calistoga Ranch is nestled in a secluded valley on 157 wooded acres and features 50 cedar-shingled guest lodges, as well as a lakefront restaurant called The Lakehouse that is helmed by newly-appointed Executive Chef Bryan Moscatello, a wine cave and vineyard consisting of two acres of Cabernet grapes, the thermal spring-fed Auberge Spa at Calistoga Ranch, a heated outdoor pool and separate family pool, miles of hiking trails, a fitness center and more. The resort’s eco-conscious design comes to life in luxurious guest lodges that preserve the integrity and beauty of the valley’s ancient oak trees, redwoods and Lake Lommel by offering free-standing rooms connected by decks, trellised walkways and expansive outdoor living areas built around existing trees. Authentic programming that honors the serene landscape revolves around unique elements including a cabernet vineyard, honeybee colonies, a secret garden and greenhouse, and a chicken coop complete with a crystal chandelier.
