Coburn Packard

Coburn Packard is a Partner and Head of Real Estate Equity at BDT & MSD Partners. He is Head of the BDT & MSD Real Estate Equity Investment Committee and a member of the BDT & MSD Real Estate Credit Investment Committee. Prior to joining MSD Partners, a predecessor firm to BDT & MSD Partners, in 2018, he was a Partner at Apollo Global Management, responsible for the investment activities of its U.S. Real Estate Private Equity business. Prior to joining Apollo in 2010, he was a Partner and Co-Founder of Ridgeline Capital Group, an independent real estate investment management company, and was a Senior Vice President of Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners, where he focused on real estate private equity investment in the Americas from 2000 to 2008. He began his career in Lehman Brothers’ Real Estate Investment Banking Group. Coburn is a member of the Urban Land Institute, The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business Real Estate Center, and Real Estate Roundtable, and is a director of Auberge Resorts Collection and Greystar Real Estate Partners. He lives in Manhattan with his wife and three children. He earned a BA in Ethics, Politics, and Economics from Yale University.
