New partnership establishes THE WELL at Mayflower Inn, Auberge Resorts Collection as a Holistic Wellness Retreat Destination
New York, NY (November 30, 2020) – Leading NYC-based wellness brand THE WELL and the renowned Auberge Resorts Collection hospitality group’s Mayflower Inn and Spa today announce THE WELL at Mayflower Inn. Opening on December 8, 2020, THE WELL at Mayflower Inn will combine best-in-class wellness with best-in-class hospitality to create a 20,000-square-foot countryside wellness escape for both locals and guests alike. The new wellness retreat marks the second location and first ever hospitality partnership for THE WELL, and comes at a time when people need it most.
Located two hours from both New York City and Boston in the idyllic town of Washington, Connecticut, THE WELL at Mayflower Inn will offer an integrated holistic experience with a suite of medical and health coaching services, along with custom spa treatments, a rotation of “Visiting Masters” across eastern and western healing practices, curated weekly programming, daily movement and fitness classes and a calendar of seasonal retreats. Innovative wellness products developed by THE WELL’s expert team of practitioners, which is led by Chief Medical Officer and renowned Functional Medicine Doctor, Frank Lipman, M.D., will be used in services, offered in retail and integrated into the in room experience.

East-Meets-West Treatments and Services
Offering services ranging from acupuncture and craniosacral therapy to energy healing and stretching, THE WELL at Mayflower Inn will debut with custom spa treatments designed for the location, with a focus on the health of the lymphatic system which is central to immune health. The signature treatment, Full-Body Reboot, is a results-oriented full-body lymphatic treatment which incorporates ingredients indigenous to Connecticut. Harnessing the healing power of nature in an outdoor experience, Forest Craniosacral provides tools to soothe the five senses and disconnect from the stress of modern life. THE WELL will also launch its groundbreaking SkinHealth program at Mayflower Inn and Spa, in partnership with Biologique Recherche.

Weekly Programming, Wellness Packages and Retreats
Weekly programming led by THE WELL will include a variety of interactive experiences including daytime and nighttime forest bathing, dharma talks, chef series and gong baths. THE WELL will also offer one to three-day wellness programs and packages, and seven to fifteen-day destination retreat experiences. The first wellness experience, Release + Reset 2020, allows guests to create their own itinerary for a 3+ night stay for a completely custom holistic mind-body reset to start 2021.
A State-of-the-Art Wellness Destination
Undergoing a refresh led by THE WELL, the 20,000-square-foot wellness destination now features new state-of-the-art amenities, including an infrared sauna and cryotherapy chamber. Key areas of the renowned spa have also been reimagined. The new Pool House features a greenhouse style all-season pool, a traditional hammam with light therapy and aromatherapy and a new Biophilic Thermal Pool, which welcomes guests into a thermal bath surrounded by 400 plants that purify the air and encourage a feeling of calm. The new retail space is a complete curation of wellness products — from skincare and self-care to supplements and clothing.
Additional features and amenities include eight stunning treatment rooms, a stunning relaxation room, two steam rooms, a state-of-the-art fitness center, shower and locker room amenities by clean beauty pioneer Beautycounter and a nail studio in partnership with Sundays, a wellness nail care brand that will offer non-toxic products and mindful nail services. Around the property, guests can enjoy the outdoor yoga and meditation garden in addition to a seasonal outdoor pool, a tennis court and hiking trails.
Every guest will receive a Wellness Download from THE WELL, which will be used to build customized treatment plans and experiences based on guests’ unique concerns and goals. THE WELL will also extend support beyond one’s stay, allowing guests to continue programs, schedule visits with practitioners, and participate in classes from anywhere through THE WELL online platform.

The launch of THE WELL completes Mayflower Inn and Spa, Auberge Resorts Collection’s property-wide transformation. In October 2020, the 35-room Inn unveiled a full redesign led by New York-based interior designer Celerie Kemble.
