The Experience

Mill House opens its doors for a unique, exclusive experience to stroll the 17 showrooms in a private tour with William Hildreth, the proprietor, and enjoy a hands-on experience examining the fine antiques, while learning about their history and the period in which they were made. In addition, spend time in the workshop for a lesson on proper restoration and conservation methods and receive pointers on how to evaluate antiques on your own. At the conclusion of the tour, enjoy your Mayflower picnic in the private quarters overlooking falls of the Nonnewaug river or when weather permits, stroll the famous gardens and take your meal in one of the several quiet spots along the river.
