Great for everyone
Best in the summer and fall
Stop at Telluride Coffee in Mountain Village and grab a coffee, juice and made to order breakfast sandwich.
Grab your camera and set out for Black Bear Pass. If you take a full day trip, you will cross Imogene Pass into Ouray (neighboring city) and return via Ophir Pass or Black Bear Pass. As you drive into Telluride from the West, look south and you will notice a jagged idyllic mountain more commonly seen on the Coors Light can.
Stroll the retail shops and Galleries of Main Street Telluride, including Crossbow Leather Goods, Telluride Gallery of Fine Arts, Tony Newlin Gallery and the Telluride Historical Museum.
Return to Madeline for a revitalizing Spirit of The Mountain spa treatment.
On your way to the gondola, locate the Mahr Building, at 129/131 W. Colorado Ave, a small plaque on the outside of the building signifies the location of the San Miguel Bank, the first bank robbed by Butch Cassidy.
Order the roasted beef bone marrow at Black Iron Kitchen and Bar. Enjoy an after dinner cocktail outside at the fire pits.
Finish your day's adventure with a s'more at the fire table.
Ride the gondola into town. Watch for paragliders launching near San Sophia station. You can get off the gondola and enjoy breathtaking views of the mountain range.
Munch on a croissant sandwich at Baked in Telluride. Grab an extra large sprinkle donut for the kids - it's vacation.
Stroll around Telluride on a walking tour with local historian Ashley Boling. Make sure to ask about the galloping goose.
Eat lunch at Ghost Town, a restaurant specializing in toast. We recommend the local favorite, basil cashew pesto, heirloom tomato, avocado, and lime. The chili crunch topping is a must.
Shop Main Street. The town of Telluride limits the amount of brand name stores so your shopping experience will be completely unique to the Telluride area.
Ride the gondola to Mountain Village for dinner at Brown Dog Pizza. Kids make fast friends and parents enjoy relaxing.
Take it outdoors and lounge in an Adirondack chair by the fire. Kids can play in Reflection Plaza while parents enjoy some rest and relaxation.
Salute the sun during a yoga class in M Studio.
Order an protein-filled omelette via room service to fuel up another day of adventure.
Drive to Trout Lake or Wild Boy Lake for a guided stand-up paddleboard (SUP) adventure. They are the perfect locations to learn this sport.
Visit the Madeline Living Room for the daily Salt Ritual.
Sink your teeth into a rack of Colorado lamb. Ask for a table by the window so you can enjoy the sunset views.
Toast to the day with a night cap as you listen to live guitar music.
