Recipe: Easy to Make Potstickers

Cooking with the family feeds the soul. Chef Rob from Hotel Jerome shares his recipe for potstickers that is easier than you imagine, and the kids will love it too. Bonus: dumplings freeze well, so make a big batch now and throw half in the freezer for an easy dinner down the line.

  • PORK AND CABBAGE POTSTICKERS
  • 2 pounds Ground Pork
  • 1 each: Napa Cabbage, Minced
  • 6 each: Green Onions
  • 2T Garlic, Minced
  • 1T Ginger, Minced
  • 2T Salt
  • 2t Ground White Pepper
  • 4t Sugar
  • Approx 70-80 gyoza wrappers
  • METHOD:
  • Toss the cabbage with 1T of the salt and place in a strainer, allow to sit for 20 minutes
  • Place cabbage in a kitchen towel and squeeze out as much water as possible, place in a mixing bowl
  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix well to combine
  • Cook a small piece and taste for seasoning, adjust with salt, pepper, and sugar as necessary
  • Form into pot stickers
  • Saute in a pan over medium heat with a bit of oil until crisp, add a bit of water to steam and finish cooking remove cover and allow water to fully evaporate
  • Once water has evaporated, add a touch of oil and re-crisp over medium heat
  • Enjoy!
