Do The Dreamiest Spot to Practice Yoga in Santorini

Yoga

I’ve practiced yoga all over the world, including in India and Nicaragua for hundreds of hours of yoga training. But one of the most magical is right here in Santorini, especially at my favorite spot, on a promontory rock in front of Grace Hotel that juts out into the Aegean Sea. Here, taking in splendid views of the Caldera, I feel connected to Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine and healing; Epione, the goddess of soothing; and their daughters, goddesses of health and recuperation. I feel their ancient powers flow through with each breath and yoga pose.

My yoga classes with Grace Hotel are the only ones with access to this amazing promontory. Group sizes are small—with as little as just one to up to six —and start with a short hike to our dedicated open-air yoga space, with steep cliffs that tumble down into the sea on three sides. Away from it all, and with such a phenomenal view, you will feel a sense of expansion and peace even before we start our practice. I can work with you on any style of yoga, including vinyasa, hatha and ashtanga. I’ll keep the class fun, playful, and light. Yet, you will work deeply. Every session will flow through a slow and fluid sequence of movements anchored in the breath that will leave you feeling more energized, clear and connected to experiencing the wonder of each moment—especially on this very special island.

Yoga classes also available in our private studio.Stories from Grace Hotel
