The Experience

Step inside Etéreo’s Carolina K Boutique, located at the heart of the property, for an immersive experience in Mexican artisanship. During Carolina Kleinman’s time living in Tepoztlán, Mexico, the Carolina K Boutique Founder and Creative Director established close relationships with cooperatives of artisans and designers from around the country. “I've held this country very close to my heart. Being able to establish close relationships with cooperatives of artisans taught me the value of heritage and how it is vital for our culture, for our society to preserve it," she said. Their work now forms the basis of the shop’s décor and stunning selections.

Nook-like niches are made with chukum, an ancient Mayan stucco technique.

Bring a piece of Etéreo and its ethereal spirit home with you with one-of-a-kind pieces, including vibrantly colored rugs, woven palm sculptures and ceramic jugs by Javier Reyes of Rrrres, or the unique braided pots of blind artisan José Garcîa Antonio of Taller Manos Que Ven (Hands That See Workshop).

Browse the spacious racks for ethically made menswear from the Argentinean brand Felix, or discover intricately crafted jewelry and accessories that would be perfect to gift friends and family.

Tulum-based Daniel Orozco Studio fashioned the clothing racks and jewelry displays from Jabin wood and copper.

Throughout the boutique, you will also find Carolina K’s most recent ready to wear and swim collections, known for their hand-embroidered details made by artisans from remote regions of Mexico, Peru and India.
“Everything at Mexico's new Etéreo, Auberge Resorts Collection is created in reverence to the area's Mayan history and the country's local artisans—from the on-site shaman, traditional Mayan blessing at the entrance to each room, and healing spa treatments to designer Carolina K's new boutique and the decor and art.”
