The Experience

Join us for the area’s premier cocktail festival, celebrating the art of mixology. Founded in 2017 by Chileno Bay's Director of Beverage Curation and award-winning mixologist, Osvaldo Vasquez, and mixologist Danielle Tatarin, Cabo Cocktail Fest creates an opportunity for talented mixologists and bartenders to get inspired and helps raise the standard of service throughout Mexico with seminars and guest appearances at Cabo's best bars. We invite you to experience and interact with four renowned international bartenders as they take over COMAL BAR and the newly opened YAYA Bar.

Thursday, June 23

  • Ian McPherson is a Scottish award-winning bartender owner of speakeasy-style cocktail bar, Panda & Sons in Edinburgh, included in The 50 World’s Best Bars in 2020. Ian was awarded the “Innovator of the Year” in 2020 by Imbibe Magazine. Vasilis Kyritsis is a Greek bartender and co-owner of internationally acclaimed The Clumsies Bar in Athens, currently the No. 4 bar in The World’s 50 Best Bars List.

  • Micah Melton is the Beverage Director at The Alinea Group in Chicago. He oversees the Group’s four properties including The Aviary, where he mixes drinks with the same creativity and attention to detail seen in a Michelin-starred dining room. Tess Posthumus is a multi-awarded bartender, author and bar co-owner of Flying Dutchmen Cocktails in Amsterdam, a bar focused on (neo-)classic cocktails with the largest backbar of the Netherlands with over 800 unique spirits.
