Calistoga Ranch Invites Guests to Experience Wine Country as an Insider with Series Signature Events

  • CALISTOGA RANCH, CALIFORNIA (April, 2010) – Nestled into a private canyon filled with ancient oaks, majestic hills, a rock hewn stream and private lake, Calistoga Ranch offers a luxurious setting complete with a working vineyard and a resident winemaker.  Guests who are interested in an insider’s wine country experience are invited to actively participate in the winemaking process and share their experiences with other like­minded people. The resort continues to enhance its offerings by hosting a new series of signature events held on property with its Vintner Members. These events will give wine lovers the opportunity to partake in intimate events that take the wine country experience to a deeper level.
  • The signature events series at Calistoga Ranch are only available to those staying overnight as hotel guests or owners of the Residences.  Upcoming events for 2010 include:
  • July 4 –  It’s an “All American 4th of July BBQ” from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and includes dinner, micro brews and wine by the poolside patio.
  • September 11 – “Early Morning Harvest” – Harvest Breakfast in the resort’s on-property vineyard, followed by a one-of-a-kind opportunity to join winemaker Kirk Venge in harvesting the resort’s own Sotero Vineyard Cabernet grapes.
  • September 11 – A Wine Dinner will follow the Harvest Party as a continued poolside celebration. Dinner will be served family style, al fresco under the Napa Valley stars
  • from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. It will be $125 per person.
  • October 30 – A Harvest Dinner will be held in the Calistoga Ranch Vineyard to celebrate the completion of the harvest season in Napa Valley. The dinner will be served family style and is priced at $125 per person.  Vintner Members will join to dine with guests among the grapes, offering a view from the eyes of the insiders in Napa Valley; they’ll share anecdotes, tips on the best wines of the year, and, of course, samples of their wine.
  • Food of Place experiences are complimentary and open to all Calistoga Ranch guests, owners and members. Those interested in the events can sign up with the concierge at the beginning of each month. For more information, please call 707-254-2800.
  • December 30 – Oysters & Sparkling Wine will be served on the patio of the Lakehouse restaurant at Calistoga Ranch as a a winter celebration for those in Napa Valley for New Year’s Eve or the holiday season. A special oyster bar will be set up from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
  • The signature events series is just another step towards making Calistoga Ranch guests have entrée to the winemaking community. Other wine related programs at the resort include parties hosted on­property by revered local winemakers and invitations to their own homes and wineries. The wine cave also serves as a perfect venue to host year ­round wine ­the med parties, meetings and weddings. A one­ of ­a kind “Winemaker for a Weekend” experience is also offered with the esteemed Hourglass Winery, located just next door to Calistoga Ranch. Collectively, these experiences offer the Calistoga Ranch guest the unique opportunity for a deeper connection to Napa Valley and personal insight into the art of winemaking.
