Col. Terry Virts (ret) served as a U.S. Air Force test fighter pilot, is a NASA veteran of two spaceflights and was the commander of the International Space Station, having lived in space for 8 months. He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Harvard Business School. Virts is a celebrated thought leader, speaker and author whose ​seven months in space included: piloting the Space Shuttle; commanding the International Space Station; three spacewalks; and performing scientific experiments, while working closely with multiple international partners. Virts worked with Russian Space Agency cosmonauts during some of the most stressful U.S.-Russian relations since the Cold War.​ An in-demand speaker at events across the globe, Virts’​ inspires audiences with stories from space as well as his insights into life on earth. He brings his unique perspective to businesses worldwide on diverse topics such as our environment, global wealth, intercultural leadership, crisis and risk management, innovation, strategy and vision and decision making.

A decade ago, co-founders Lindsay and Alyssa befriended one another while living on intersecting streets in San Francisco. One lived on Pine Street; the other on Polk. “Meet you on the corner of” became the opening line to their many adventures together. A shared love of all things food and drink had them constantly exploring the san Francisco culinary scene—restaurants, wineries, and bars. Several years later, fate moved them back home to NYC. The timing was right. There was nothing left to do but dive head first into their ultimate dream: a space for epicurean goods and late night drinks; a way to mix the cool, crisp vibes of the west coast with the richness and depth of our favorite east coast city.
