Blue Sky Culinary Classes

Discover our culinary secrets at one of our curated cooking classes. You will be welcomed by your host and guided to a remote location for an intimate experience. Start with a welcome refreshment and get to know your fellow chefs/bakers. Then, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and create.

  • Approx. 1.5 hours
  • Classes are designed to be hands-on, where the guests help prepare the dishes.
  • Each experience will conclude with a savoring of the dish over a beverage of tea, coffee, or lemonade and trade stories from days in the kitchen.
  • Guests should wear comfortable shoes, and dress appropriately, and will be provided with aprons and towels.
  • We suggest that children under the age of 10 be directed to Little Vaquero's Club.
  • In this class, you will learn the basics of working with bread dough – activating yeast, kneading, proofing, blending flowers and herbs into the dough, and forming and baking a delicious loaf of crusty focaccia. As your bread rises and bakes in the oven, our lead Baker guides you in the creation of flavorful farmer’s cheese – a creamy companion for dipping and spreading.

  • Learn how to pipe and apply your skills to make chocolate éclairs. YUTA’s pastry chef will guide you through the process of making paté à chôux dough, forming the classic pastry, and baking it to crisp, light perfection with all the characteristic nooks and crannies ready to fill with rich vanilla pastry cream. You’ll finish your delectable creation by glazing with a rich chocolate and coffee ganache.

  • Learn the ancient art of making pasta by hand alongside one of our highly skilled chefs. Your made-from-scratch pasta dough will be blended with fresh herbs and edible flowers, then formed by hand into delicious ravioli filled with creamy ricotta cheese.

  • 1.5 hour class in Yuta Kitchen, followed by lunch in Yuta

  • Ages 12 & Up

  • Learn how to prepare and grill Utah’s most iconic fish – trout – over our wood-fired grill. Discover how deceptively these simple techniques can elevate and enhance the natural flavors of food. Our chef(s) will guide you through the preparation of your fish and the techniques of grilling a whole fish and a side dish over a wood fire, and how to use wood as an intentional ingredient in cooking.

  • 1.5 hour class in Yuta Kitchen, followed by lunch in Yuta

  • Ages 12 & Up

  • Learn how to prepare and grill Utah’s iconic fish – trout – over our wood-fired grill. Learn the simplicity of wood-fired cooking in order to accentuate the natural flavors of food. Our chef(s) will guide you through the preparation of the fish and techniques of grilling whole fish over a wood fire. From water to land, you’ll discover techniques for grilling mixed greens over the fire.

  • 1.5 hour class in Yuta Kitchen, followed by lunch in Yuta
