The most popular rafting trip in New Mexico! This is a great morning option during the hot summer months, leaving the afternoon free to return to Bishop's Lodge for an afternoon of exploration, art or relaxing by the pool.

Rio Grande SUP | Group Experience

This is a half-day trip in the morning which meets at 8:30 am and finishes around noon. This trip takes place on a placid section of the river though the latter part of the National Monument and there is no experience necessary. The minimum age is 12.

Orilla Verde Family Float | Group Experience

This is the perfect trip for everyone in the entire family or those who just feel like a lazy float down the river. It also affords us time to practice paddling techniques, swimming and simply enjoying the Rio Grande. Toward the end of the trip, we will float through the historic village of Pilar before continuing through some fun class II rapids and on to our take-out.

Rock Climbing & Rafting | Group Experience

Starting at 8 am, we spend the morning climibing and rappelling in the National Monument. After our signature fajita lunch, we gear up for an afternoon of rafting down the Racecourse section of the Rio Grande.

Whitewater kayaking on the Rio Grande

Middle Taos Box Kayaking | Group Experience

Accessed by a 1-mile long hike down a beautiful trail in the Wild Rivers Recreation Area, guests will find their kayaks waiting at the confluence with the Rio Grande and the Red River. The whitewater on this section is calm with one class III rapid. A wonderful opportunity to see interesting wildlife and visit some riverside archaeological sites. Paddle your own boat on this section with all the necessary training from your guide.
