Celebrate How My Psychology Degree Helps Me Plan Your Wedding
I have a degree in psychology, which comes in handy more than you might think during the wedding planning process. From knowing where to place an eccentric relative on the seating chart, to choosing a wedding cake that will please all parties, the decisions I make are informed by knowing what is most important to the bride, groom, and their families. For example, I know if a couple wants to find alone time during their event, and will strategize a small escape for them. Typically planned right after the ceremony, the couple is whisked away to a private room set up with their signature cocktail, where the two of them are left to toast to their first moments as a newly wedded couple before rejoining their guests. I make sure every detail is in place, from stepping in to bustle a bride’s wedding dress (which happens nine out of 10 times) to knowing the specific kind of vodka your great uncle exclusively drinks (and ensuring it will be poured at the bar before he has the chance to request it).
