As we navigate the unexpected, we are missing the joys of travel and togetherness now more than ever before. To help you make new vacation memories at home, we have introduced a new series called #AubergeAtHome, to bring our favorite, heartfelt experiences directly to you. From recipes and wellness rituals to activities for kids, we’ll be sharing Auberge moments that are easy to recreate at home. Little things from our family, to your family as we look forward to traveling again.
Wellness & Balance to Soothe the Spirit
These self care and mindfulness rituals will help melt stress away.
The Lodge at Blue Sky
Bring a touch of Blue Sky to your self-care practice at home with Edge Spa Director Adrianna Stepien's lemon rosemary bath ritual. A genuine ambassador of the Earth, Adrianna was raised to revere the powerful healing properties of plants to raise the vibration of body, mind & spirit.
- Combine 2 cups of epsom salts with 1/2 cup of baking soda and 4 drops of lemon essential. Mix, then add in 4 more drops.
- Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of fresh chopped rosemary and 3 tablespoons of lemon zest until fully combined.
- Add 2 cups of mixture to a hot bath, light a candle, express gratitude, speak kindly to yourself.
Lemongrass, found all over Anguilla, has an uplifting, individualistic, and light aroma. And, eucalyptus, full of healing benefits, supports the respiratory system and soothes physical discomforts. We have outlined the best way to bring the two together to create an essential oil tranquility mist. Let your mind drift away to the Caribbean.
- You will need a 4 ounce spray bottle, as well as lemongrass essential oil and eucalyptus essential oil - organic, if possible.
- Our recommendation, for a stronger scented mist, mix 2 ounces of water in your spray bottle with 15 to 25 drops of each oil. For a milder scent, use around 20 drops of essential oil in 4 ounces of water.
“Aloha” means “the presence of breath” or “the breath of life.” Breathe through your nose and from your belly as you watch this video, focusing on the rhythm of the ocean and breath cadences.
